Delay flying until 9.0

The Brexit debate is being handled by a bunch of remoaners.

The flying debate is always started by a bunch of no-flyer moaners.

Yes, the pro flyers had had enough for experts, where is the 250,000 gold for the National Horde Health service you promised?

Currently being handed over to a bunch of old men, for absolutely no reason.

Ruled by a Philosopher King who “knows best” and only listen to the “right” music…

Thread is probably going to get locked soon. Seems to be a lot of arguments about arguments being arguments or not.

Doesn’t matter. War mode wpvp is trash anyway. There is nothing too ruin.

Because world PvP is trash anyway, so who cares?

Those of us not into that crap have been waiting long enough already.

-ruins w pvp = Don’t care or i could not care less only world “pvp” this warmode has so far brought is cowardly ganking.

-ruins immersion = What?

-ruins the devs work in creating great world/zones = Running around for 1 year or more i have had time to see every corner of the world/zones and after 13 years i have seen old world many times over.

-is not very wow-ish, more like blade runner or something where everyone is in = entirely subjective wow is not a historical accurate world its a fantasy world that has had flying machines since WC2.

-everyone has so unique weird thing for a mount looks like a clown show = Also kind of subjective like in real world what looks weird and clowny to some may look good for others.

Some of the best expansions to me were the ones in which you could fly almost from the start - TBC, Wotlk and MOP, I never felt there like my immersion has been ruined because the view from the above on the zones is much more beautiful, and the people which wanted to engage in the world PvP in them could because there were objectives in the world around which they did.

Such a relevant way to sum a book of more than 300 pages.

I wholehearted agree with OP. Flying should come at the end of expansion/beginning of new one.
When locations were huge like Hellfire, Shadowmoon or Storm Peaks, it had all the right to exist, but not in mondern locations that were brought to us in recent times. They are too small and compacted. Nothing ruins feelings of mmo like flying. Especially when we have 5 min whistles and 4 minute heartstones.

This was compromise, stop shifting the goal post. Know what why not remove flying alltogether, and teleports, and portals, and summon stones! The diehard vanilla travelers will finaly rejoice. Yes if you want flying gone permamently (with what you are saying) then I will make sure to do my best to go back vanilla style.

I do think flying, aside from being a huge comfort, ruins the overall experience of the world. Still, people would rather start a riot instead of seeing it removed (it’s happened actually). One thing I thought is that there could be dangers in the sky too, so they force you to take paths or plan traveling a bit.

I don’t know, currently it’s not easy to find a solution. Surely when flying will become available everything will be way easier, but I’m not sure that both comfort and easier tasks/travel are a good thing.

One thing is sure now: bfa’s already done about this, we will have flight. This is a talk for another expansion I guess.

Flying kills W-PVP and it further influences people to camp WQ’s and hence then further instagates the ill report you QQ salt police.

I rarely see W-PVP outside of assaults and the weekly “kill 10 in X area” quest to be honest. Other times I see a large group of Alliance ganking Horde players and vice versa (I have characters in both factions so have seen enough to see that both sides are just as bad as each other).

I rarely came into PVP scenarios with other players when my server grouping were classed as PVP servers before Warmode was intruduced. I highly doubt that flying will cause a huge rise in mass gankings at flight paths based off of my previous experiences. .

No /10char.

I do WQ’s with some friends in WM 2-3 times a week and clear both continents and it varies really based on server time, but its very dynamic whereas with flying and PVP in legion it was disgustingly static due to the arena WQ’s and people being able to shoot off at no expense.

I wish we had the WQ’s again really for the FFA arenas in BFA now that theres no flying and its only really sad when people the PVP turns into a raid or groups of 10+ camping a quest for the bounty damage buff, thats what ruins W-PVP since it becomes stale quick.

Yeah cause only alliance players camp turtle wqs/fps with a raid group for the open world pvp quest that rewarded 400 itemlevel.

I got corpse camped at that FP by Horde for 4 months (1 group was there for 3 hours!), ah well with such replies I know anathor trying to justify their behaviour or pretending they never did it. Yes we got 1 IL 400, guess what you guys at Uldir? Free 370 on opening day from warfront and ability mass gear alts! And don’t try EMFH, it was the only good or decent racial Alliance had and since it’s nerf to uselessness the Alliance is bleeding empty. 27-30+ world 100 guilds and tons of mythic+ and PvP players all went Horde in Legion to stay competitive. Not a word was said by the Horde playerbase that wasn’t good for the game. But oh now the Alliance had a ‘free’ (they still had to opt for WM) IL 400 item once! I will keep complaining till the end of days!

The quest you mentioned actually awards an 385 ilvl item, it was reduced after complaints about it before (and I agree it should never have been 400 ilvl). I don’t even think the quest should exist for anyone, it defeats the purpose of Warmode and only causes a short time incentive to have Warmode on. Warmode has been a failure from the start and there was nothing wrong with the old PVP Server system other than the lack of PVP.

As I said before, both sides are as bad as each other. I’ve seen both factions camp the Tortollan areas (and others) so there is no point in being disingenuous with your post which is trying to assert the opinion that its a 1 sided issue.

Those complaining fail to see that this isn’t faction related but a flaw in a system that Blizzard implemented in an attempt to fix W-PVP. Of course some people are going to get a power trip from being able to overpower players with their friends but that has always happened at times within the history of WoW and is actually nothing new.

It might be better if people aired their frustrations at Blizzard and the Dev Team rather than this stupid tit for tat on the forums against each other. Quite frankly its pretty pathetic that people can’t see past their own bubbles and realise who the problem lies with, `it is not the Alliance or the Horde but the Developers and Blizzard.

That is all I have to say on this.
