Delay flying until 9.0

Oh, a rogue… what a ‘shock’.

Presicely! All you’ve done is made sweeping generalisations and assume you know what makes people happy. You claim you’ve been light-hearted and jovial, and perhaps you have, but forgive me for thinking otherwise.

You do realise you don’t have to fly even if it’s unlocked for you?? So what difference does it make to anyone else if a player flies or chooses to use ground mounts only?

Admittedly I do say this from the point of view of a casual who hates PVP and doesn’t do it but there are so many players, many in this thread alone, who do enjoy flying and why shouldn’t they? People like you who seem to want to stop this for those who do enjoy it are really, sorry, selfish in my opinion.

This. Maybe Blizzard should just tag all account making no flying posts as “non flying account” that cannot learn skill at all. Then they wouldn’t have to struggle whether to fly or not when it’s available. No fly game mode (same way than we got WM) might be too much work, but they could wiggle the sharding in the way that it always tries to place non flyers to their own shards. Problem solved.

Shame that one of the most wonderful features of this game involving just so many fantastic mounts, earned by so many players gets this kind of moronic viewpiont. Reflects to me the current state of the game that has been systematically ruined by players that in one breath go on about disabling hard earned features but still run around the game on their motorbikes and pointy hats one shotting everything with their looms. Game gone bonkers.

Last night I was trying … TRYING to do a quest [ Level 15 ] and couldn’t cus each time I wound up my cast in flew the motorbike squad with their one shot game style and i couldn even pick up anything as it was cleared in a blink of an eye. My thoughts were drawn to the comments like this post that called for scaling to make it ’ harder ’ for them. Well the developers listened and then destroyed the game. DESTROYED THE GAME.

So trust me they are happy to pander to the wishes of the none flyers… cus it gives them the right to have zones so small and cramped and filled with nothing cus folk will have to struggle to get around with the relative dense mob packs in small zones. Instead of a structured map like in TBC where the game is actually designed around flying and gives it as a reward for reaching a stage in the game. BUT… that is where the problem is. Looms and Transmog and hoovering up content cus its base simple for the most average of players. So how to slow em down… NOT remove the benefits of cheat mode… but simpy lets stop em flying.

Truth is all of this new wave of complaint from such players has been used to erode the game and give us boring dreary gameplay through lazy design. And now that the game is crumbling the designers look to other mechs to boost their failing numbers. Shame they didn’t just follow the tried and tested methods of say TBC or Lich. Cus now their only hope is Classic to revive this game.

So yay to your none flying. Bothers me not. I get to cap in BfA and just start over… like I did last night. And why. ITS BORING. And not being able to fly as with the last expansions without jumping through bonkers hoops just puts me off. And I am sure there were new players in the starter zones yesterday wondering what they have to do to compete with the one shot brigade on stupid motorbikes. Cus thats the game posters like this have done to what was a wonderful game.

Have fun not flying. I fly every single day. And I love it. Cus that is Warcraft not this dreadful mess we have now.

Flying should be removed as a universal travel system, and re-implemented as they did in the only time they approached it correctly (though they still wrongly let you fly everywhere) in Lich King with zones designed for flying like Storm Peaks and Icecrown.

Flying is an abomination in zones clearly meant to be experienced on the ground, with intricate topography rather than vast open spaces and ‘broader’ geological features amenable to flight.

They could’ve done this in BfA, making Voldun and Stormsong even more open. That way flying would be enabled in just those two zones, and then people can’t complain about not being able to use their mounts.

I want flying to be in already. Their justification for the delay is so that “we see the content before we start flying over it”. Well, guess what, I’ve seen the content thousands of times by now. On multiple characters. I’ve got seven 120 characters and an eighth not far behind. I am beyond ready to just quickly fly over those stupid charging pigs in Stormsong Valley.

kek, another one that doesnt understand the meaning of “casual”. You seem to think its an insult? so when you get up in the morning to go to school/work… do you deliberately take a detour just to not be casual? or do you take the most direct route?

^^ why us “casuals” want flying. We have a majority of mounts that can fly, so let us.

lol, do you see how great this sounds from my neutral perspective?

WM as horde != 10x slower. Not even as Alliance if they shard properly.

Then make people with warmode unable to fly.
Don’t spoil it for the rest of us.

That’s subjective. Not a fact.

Which we will have been able to play ‘as intended’ for many months when pathfinder part 2 arrives.

More subjective stuff.

Same can be said for ground mounts. Also; subjecive.

Nope. Just remove it for warmode. Done.
Also; your ‘pros’ are very, very biased and narrowminded.

Completely agreed

NO. We are sick of being grounded. I have wanted flying since 8.1!

Seriously. Why don’t you ask them to take your ground mount and spells off you aswell. Ideas like this are ruining rhe game. Flying should be given to us, not hung at the end of the expansion.

If blizzard has the cheek to release another flying mount like the year of the pig… Even though we STILL CANT fly. Absolutely insulting. Who in their right mind would buy a flying mount and not be upset it sticks to the ground and clearly has some kind of disability where it thinks it’s now a horse.

Once again, we have a vocal minority, screeching their hate for something whereby they want everyone to suffer.

The best thing is, Blizzard (for once) isn’t listening to them and they will be giving us flying in 8.2, after we’ve completely the second part of Pathfinder.

Oh, you want your [Flying Machine] to fly? Isn’t that a bit unreasonable…

It must be…

:frowning: what’s this game become.

Why must flying ruin pvp? Why not flying air battles? I am sure it would spike up pvp for a while, don’t know about long lasting effects of it tho…

This would truly kill WM off.

I kinda wish they’d create zones around flying, like they did with Stormpeaks and Icecrown in Wotlk.
