They removed this because the 2nd run of the key was for no loot, so the key was worse than dead as no-one would run it.
Going back to this seems bad.

But it will be for people… You will see 1 guy doing sub optimal damage and the leader will just kick him first pull and find another DPS… You will see the tank do 1 wrong pull, and leader will ask for a restart because now he can’t +2 the key…
People already now go into a complete meltdown when someone body pulls 2 extra mobs and have to fight for 1 minute longer… Now imagine you kill 1 boss and your mage accidentally presses Timewarp… “Guys restart, now we dont have lust for 2nd boss!”
I really don’t see how a unlimited free pass will make people play with each other even more… I think people will be extra unforgiving, exactly because there is no repercussion. They can just kick and find a new dps, nothing lost apart from the time.
Then we will have the forums flooding with “I was kicked from key even though I was doing fine dps and we would time it for sure!” posts
So you’d rather be forced to stay with that guy doing 0 DPS for 20 minutes, then have the tank do 1 bad pull and everyone leave after 30 minutes instead of retrying again at the beginning? If the goal is to 2 chest the key and people aren’t meeting the expectations, isn’t it just better to retry instantly and find better players instead of wasting time?
If the key is high enough to the point where a BL makes or breaks the key, then yeah just reset, no point wasting time. I see nothing wrong with player mistakes ruining a run.
It’s very simple, if the key is listed as “completion” you stay, if you queue for a run with “push” you leave/retry if you fail.
We already have the forums flooded with posts like that anyways, so what’s the difference besides that now we waste our time more?
I would just be leader and tank at the same time and not kick people. Genius always finds a way.
Who said “0 dps” I literally said suboptimal, and given your answer is “0 dps” I can’t stop but wonder, if you’d be one going “Nah bad dps” even though you for sure could time it because someone didn’t play to perfection.
Again… “If the key is high enough”… That mentality is already proven not to exist for the majority of players… There is no “Meta comp” for low keys, all classes and specs can get the job done, yet you will see certain classes not being invited because the tier list says they are C tier… No one cares for “high enough” people follow min max logic
I have yet to see a key listed as “completion”… Almost all keys are standard put to “time” in my experience…
I haven’t seen any, can you link me one?
Then imagine everyone following your logic Oh wow, no one joining your key, because everyone is a genius
They’d also need to be tanks. Which isn’t the most popular role, is it sensei?
nah - you need dps and healers too. Goes both ways
My idea is make my own group as tank. Most people are unwilling to do either.
There is a 0% chance everyone is going to copy my idea.
But then you would most likely run into people demanding that you restart or they leave… And woops now we’re back at the same problem.
You will probably not struggle to fill up your group… It’s the completing the run part that may be tricky. But I believe you’ll come back with an answer that rejects this notion completely because:
I would just tell them to leave. They can go rot in LFG if that’s their choice. No point playing with people who don’t want to be there.
Then we’re back to:
Only if your imagined situation actually happens. Unlike genius there is no limit to imagination.
I can infinitely just imagine situations to counter the situations you imagine. We can even imagine situations where I’m in a key with a bunch of aliens and they tell me if I don’t restart the key they’ll blow up half the planet.
I can also imagine you not getting any signups… But unlike you, I like to go by experience, and having played beta this was the situation (with unlimited tries), but feel free to think what you want, after all you have free will (I hope) <3
It could be said no one has free will, otherwise adverts wouldn’t work. That’s too deep a conversation for WoW forum though.
Well, again, I’m not here to stop you from believing whatever you want <3 I too believe in you
You cant go by experience comparing a small sample of people in a beta environment with a live environment with reward for completing the key.
Past a certain level is already like this. People fail once and disband.
Up to +10 instead, people would be incentivized by capping the GV, farming crest and gear to not waste an entire night resetting a +7 for some score, just finish it and go at it again.
Unless the group is tragically bad, at which point disband happen even now already.
How is different from now when they just leave and leave you with a -1 key
What? Of course I can have my opinion based on my experience? xD Thats a bit wild to claim I can’t…
I’ve had plenty of keys below +10 that says otherwise… Specially NW and Mist keys to be specific. So again, in my own humble experience, i disagree.
Nah - people just see death and go “nah” and leave
Dude… That was my point… That it wouldn’t change anything…
When I’m doing vault keys I make a point of inviting people who need the key.
All the demons in Hell aren’t strong enough to drag a noob who needs the Mythic track loot out of a key. They certainly don’t risk upsetting the tank or leader. I also dual wield tank and leader so the tank never gets into an argument with the leader because I hate that.
It isn’t believable to me such people would demand a restart constantly as it wouldn’t benefit them enough to be worth doing.
Sure, but all i am saying is that your sample for talking “by experience” makes no sense given we are talking about a small sample, beta environment which is not the same as people doing keys on live.
Again i would have to see the runs of those keys because if the group is tragically bad i would leave too.
But this is exactly my point, in some situation people leave regardless already, so you saying this change would make people magically become instant leavers makes no sense.
People leave already, so i dont see the point.
You could have so many system to alleviate the annoyance or keyholders.
It does to those putting their key on the line. Of course if you are one of those playing other people keys why care?
