Delete deplete of key

It’s the best I can go by. We haven’t tried a “live” version of this… So surely the only experience I can go by is the Beta… Hence why I use it… For me equally doesn’t make sense to go “Naaah there wouldn’t be any leavers in live!” like how do you know?

No… What I’m saying is, if leaving already happens now… What would hold keyholders from being more aggressive? Would they even care to complete if they could time it? My guess is no… Why would they not just kick the low dps and find a new one and time it and upgrade?

What?.. Look at what you quoted…

No one says that, people simply says that there wouldn’t be an epidemic of people demanding resets after the slightest mistake, especially in low keys.

In higher keys when only score matters people already disband instantly in pugs so who cares? If anything those key holder would be more willing to put their keys out.

Your own time spent is a metric too.

Like, sure you could reset your key 20 times, because you made 20 crappy groups then you make the sum up of the week and you spent 15 hours resetting a key.

How many people have realistically so much time to just keep resetting?

And besides, you could make a “life system” first to see if that helps or if it makes it worst, without it being too abusable if that is their fear.

Like 2 failure before your keys go down by 1 level.

Consider yourself lucky. Very lucky.

I wouldn’t exactly say that they’re exactly common, but if you’ve done a lot of dungeons you ought to have seen that.

But that is not what I’m arguing against…

No because we already see the mentality “low level keys” have… People will decline fully capable players because they play the wrong spec… At the moment we have people more likely sticking it out with a dps that does sub par dps if they know they can time it anyways… But when people want to min max you get people thinking they can do +2 and if people fail, well they just kick and find new, no problem.

Thats what I think, again we can’t know. I’ve just been pugging long enough to imagine what it will bring

Yeah totally logical, you are almost done timing your +8 to +9 but then you realize “oh wait i can kick everyone, form a new group and hope to get a +10 instead”

Imagine having to exaggerate to this degree to give a reply :joy: yikes

Ah i am sorry, thought it was an exxageration competion given your previous statement :man_shrugging:

No need to be sorry, comprehension skills can be difficult  Apology accepted

Oh no worries really, guess its my bad for thinking someone could unironically think that way.
No point to argue if that is the case, have a good day.

Hey as I told you, apology accepted  “argue” ? Think that’s where you went wrong… I’m here to have a proper discussion, but seeing you wanted to argue, shows why we’re here. But hey, it’s okay <3

Key depletion is a terrible thing to have in wow.
Example, i just started a key and 10 seconds in the pug tank runs out and quits the group. This should not result in the key depleting. It’s terrible game design, needs sorting ASAP.

Key depletion is fine, though greifing should have consequences.

I agree it would entirely change the game, but even if that happened it would be no different to mythic raiding. They could even make boss kills reset CDs if we want to go down that route fully. I see 0 reason for the timer. It doesn’t really negate the difficulty. The difficulty is still there. You just don’t have a BS timer which was invented to unnecessarily stress the players out.

If you’re bad. You’re not clearing an 8 regardless. Even with your CDs. Timers are a huge contribution to toxicity imo. At least an extra layer. Which in my opinion is totally unnecessarily when there’s already another 3 I can think of.

It also gives you time to explain and strategize before bosses. Which in itself is communication, which the game severely lacks these days with the go-go mentality.
