Oh no, people won’t have a golden spoon of rewards fed to them and will need to find groups to grind with other people…in an MMO… outrageous.
Oh no I can’t faceroll easy mode and get the high reward, whatever shall I do.
LFR should just be removed already.
Replace facebook with the game / forums.
Thanks for the daily dose of hyperbole “slap in the face” / “disgusted”.
Why does LFR exist then? Shouldn’t it be removed?
Keep in mind, I am an advocate for its removal, along with the entire dungeon finder. But if the mode exists, it should offer appropriate rewards.
Personally, I’ll probably get the mount raiding with the guild, this doesn’t affect me at all, for now. However, it is still a slap in the face of a whole lot of other players.
The point of the game isn’t to gatekeep rewards. The point is to be fun. The point is to use rewards to facilitate fun.
I have a DF bingo card for when it releases and one of them is ‘Tah complains at everything’. Its a pretty certain one to cross off.
@OP This mount equates to an ahead of the curve mount which we aint getting this season. So having it be excluded from LFR imo is fine.
Absolutely disgusted! So disgusted I’m going to play every day and read forums every day!
Yes, yes it should.
Then let’s give the Gladiator mount at 1400, Mythic Jailer mount in LFR?
‘Gatekept rewards’ serve a valuable purpose of motivating and inspiring players to potentially step out of their comfort zone.
Just actually read that you’re going?
Amazing, at long last! Guess Blizzard finally is making the game good again.
I kind of agree with this i dont find it disgusting.
This games motivations shouldnt be laying at the ground level realistically.
Blizzard stated they dont want to kill their playerbase chasing WF players, yes. They doesnt mean they want to erase the reason to play the higher difficulty content.
Im pretty certain he was talking about the average player being unable to do the content or being pushed over the edge by a mile trying to do the content because how difficult they made progression in the game.
Gw2 made this mistake. And theres high reason why its considered a absolute joke by the mmorpg community.
Then do normal?
Then don’t desire rewards that require you to do something difficult. It’s like expecting a £60k job but only wanting to work like it’s a £30k job.
LFR players acting like Normal is Mythic when it’s basically LFR with manual invites.
Wahhh scared of social interaction wahhh
I think you misread the post.
My post was in agreement with blizzard, not the OP
Normals easier then LFR, ironically just the level up from the lfr players to people applying to raids in itself just puts the group on a much higher level expectation wise.
It’s true, but I also think the problem here isn’t the fact that some rewards are exclusive and more prestigious than others, because of course that is normal and fine. The problem is that WoW isn’t necessarily a ladder: some people like to improve and challenge themselves, some people don’t, while some can’t. A lot of players are comfortable in their tier of difficulty, and they should feel rewarded, all play styles should feel rewarding. Players who only do LFR should look forward to it, ideally they should think “I can’t wait to raid tomorrow so I get X”.
During Shadowlands that playerbase felt neglected, and with good reason. If you aren’t raiding, pushing keys, or doing rated PvP, why are you even playing?
Maybe the OP would have complained all the same, but I believe if casual players felt rewarded for what they do, they wouldn’t mind the exclusivity of more prestigious rewards.
This doesn’t mean they should get this mount in particular, I’m speaking in general.
Sure, so they’re already comfortable enough in that tier of difficulty, no need to give them anything else, is there?
And they clearly do, because they keep doing it.
PvP’ers have felt neglected all season too. This is not an exclusive feeling for ‘solo players’.
What else could you possibly want for playing the game on the easiest modes imaginable?
Being comfortable with the difficulty of an activity and feeling reward for doing said activity are very different things.
I don’t think it would hurt the game to have something like, I don’t know, mount recolours, similar to how sets are handled. Or titles for each difficulty. I mean, if LFR really needs to stay in the game (and I agree that it doesn’t), might as well treat it as a legitimate way of playing for those who enjoy it.
But again, if solo players feel rewarded enough in general, there’s no reason to add mounts or whatever to LFR, what matters the most is that they feel encouraged to play their part of the game.
I don’t PvP, but if PvPers feel neglected, then of course this applies to them as well.
I have a lot of friends who were excited to be able to do LFR for the slime cat then returning to doing what they enjoy…this feels like a slap to the face becasue they’re now forced to play on a schedule and raid…cuz lets face it, pugging is horrible in this game.
so the center piece then?
