Tbh, the past weeks I’ve been mostly making lotsa gold.
I just started to gear up a bit.
And I don’t give a thing anymore about dungeons, raids or pvp. Been there, not for me.

I’m lucky enough to be playing on a lock, which appears to be one of the best classes for soloing these. I was ilvl 580 at reset and I’m ilvl 600 now. I could solo T8 delves at both ilvls, but the difference is huge. I used to need all my cooldowns and defensives on most packs, and I would die to bosses several times to figure out my defensive rotation, which was sometimes down to the second, including Brann’s potions.
Now I can pull multiple packs effortlessly, sometimes without using big cooldowns, sometimes without using all my defensives. When they say 600 ilvl recommended, they really mean it. If you want an easier delve, do a T7, get the loot, then you can do a T8. Difficult content that makes you learn is not a bad thing, this is genuinely the most fun I’ve had in WOW in ages. I can’t wait to try soloing the more difficult ones above T8.
It’s like with visions, at first it was really difficult, by the end of the season you could sprint through the 5 mask ones pretty easily.
The issue here is people think they’re arguing with sweaty hardcore players whereas it’s other casuals that disagree with them.
There’s been a sentiment among (some) casuals that “just because I avoid the toxicity and commitment that comes with grouping doesn’t mean I’m a bad player. I don’t mind challenging content as long as I can solo it”.
You mean like random HCs and braindead world events? I have fun in former but from what I’ve heard casuals not so much
Every content has lower difficulties ranging all the way to trivial. Why is it that the prospect of challenges offends some people?
I mean…
Isn’t spamming mythics and raids also trivial content you get rewarded from?
Every type of endgame in wow is trivial, don’t pretend that it’s only delves
Its a problem because of the following reasons :
AXIOM 1 : If you want unique classes, it neceserely implies advantages and disadvantages. For example : If you want paladins in plate armor, and priest in cloth armor. OR, you want everyone (as in EVERY class) to wear plate, self heal, tank, and DPS both range and melee and have a 12s ranged kick like Shamans.
AXIOM 2 : Group play will always beat solo play. Why ? Because the disadvantages of each class are compensated by someone else. Example : Get hit too hard ? Bring a tank. A tank can survive the hits, but dosent have enough DPS. You have that DPS…
Therefore : Unless you rework every class such that we are all paladins… group play will always be better than the sum of its parts.
Therefore, no amount of % tuning will compensate that fact. And that is what Brann is there for ! Bran is an NPC that is supposed to replace a party member to dampen down the problems Solo content has.
That is the TRUE reason.
Trivial to some players, but not others. Everyone plays on a difficulty level they find compelling, I just don’t understand why some expect the rewards to be equal. This isn’t an offline game. Item progression is there to facilitate progression for each group, you can’t just throw it out the window.
You dont get mythic level gear by spamming M0s or M+3. You get it by doing M+10 …
If you dont have what it takes to do an M+10 you dont get the gear. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. There are plenty of levels for each player to feel comfortable in.
And delves should be exactly the same.
still should not be only option … this still mmo game
And also there is nothing wrong to give more content to get high end level gear to players even if u can do it solo, what u dont understand is u as maybe a high raider/ Mythic+ player are in the minority of a paying costumer. But as i said there is nothing wrong to give more content to give gear to players even solo content. If u speak about difficulty then pvp players should have way better gear then RWF players, after all a raid is scripted, arena or bg not.
I feel like you are misinterpreting me 100%.
High end PvPers got their own gear. And winning more matches == more conquest == better gear.
Its a bad comparison because if you show up with full Myth 6/6 BiS PvE gear in an arena you will be mauled by someone in Honor Blue gear.
Sais who ? Remember. I got at-least Raider IO data. Solo players got nothing to prove that statement. All the data you got to “prove” that statement is to look at the Open World and see how many people you see in your Shard to get an “very rough idea” of a segment of the population. But again, I can do just the same in the summoning stones of dungeons and also get a “very rough idea”. And the numbers dont match.
Also… what does “high-end” have to do with the conversation. There can be “low-end” M+ players as well. They can be Casual M+, or Hard-core M+ … Dosent matter.
Everyone needs progression. Everyone needs a “goal” to achieve. Whatever level you play in. And then, there is catch-up mechanics to make sure nobody is left behind. Which I agree with 100%.
