Delves are torghast but worse

No freedom on what to do, you have to do the objectives.
Atleast in torghast I didn’t have some creepy dwarf following me and saying annoying lines that make my ears bleed.

2/10 scrap it blizzard ty

I like them way better than the Torghast. Brann is a colossal noob but he’s not a bad guy.

Agree to disagree.

Delves have different gameplay and tactics, unlike Torghast.
Delves have different environments, unlike Torghast.
Delves have different enemies, unlike Torghast.
And with delves you have a choice which ones you want to do; there’s a choice. With Torghast that choice was extremely limited.

So yeah.

I don’t mind Brann’s lines, but I do mind him getting aggro and messing up my positioning. That’s just annoying stuff.

How’s it worse? Torghast was REQUIRED to do… Delves are essentially an alternative means to gear up while solo’ing.

If you do M+ or Raids regularly there’s no need to do Delves beyond achievements.

But when you are actually inside the delve you have no choice but to follow a script and that is extremely annoying.

He is basically stuck behind you like a creep and It’s extremely annoying I wish I could disable him.

In torghast you had more freedom you could skip all the adds and get to the end and finish the run here you are REQUIRED to do all the objectives.

Not to mention they said this is like world content and it’s basically instanced no pvp nothing. It’s BORING.

We need a button to disable him

Good thing delves are optional then, just dont do them

I simply disagree with that. Sure there’s a few delves I’ve done where I didn’t like the mechanics they used, but I have the choice to not do that type of delve again. Because there’s a fair amount of them and those have 3 different versions/content each (iirc).

Yeah, I kind of agree with this: It really does not feel like world content at all; they’ve not done a good job of ‘hiding’ the entrance/loading.

But still; they’re better than Torghast for sure, afaiac.

I’ll still leave my feedback for them, I actually wanted this new feature to be good.

Gotta let the new wear off first, too soon

Did dungeons and Raids start giving loot without you having to kill bosses or something? What were you expecting exactly?

It’s scripted, Too scripted.
It feels a downgrade in everyway compared to Islands and Torghast. The only upside is that it’s optional.

But gameplay wise It’s HORRIBLE.

I have to say i like delves. an activity not to be done too often but is a good filler

Isn’t this exactly the same for M+, Raiding, BGs, World Quests etc. etc.?

of course you have to follow the objective to “win” ? But how you do so, can vary.

You can bonk every mob, you can stealth through, utilize different things…

Not really, because in Thorgast to gain max reward, you had to do the objectives, otherwise you got a 1/3 score… Thorgast was literally named “Choregast” for a reason

EDIT:
Imagine if the only objective was “Just finish” like Thorgast ended up being… Well, good time to be a druid or rogue stealth through, smash the boss, rinse and repeat until you are fully geared in 1 day, while other classes have to kill their way through. How does this sound better?

Wont speak for m+ as they are so bad I didn’t even do a single one in dragonflight
But I could tell you a 100 different strategies in every single battleground just in the first 1 minute of the game.

Not rly, you only did the max objectives once to unlock the next level and then you just farmed soulash, so you are wrong. In delves you gotta follow the script Everytime you do the delve doesn’t matter the difficulty.

So was Torghast, dafuq? Where was Torghast any different? It was litteraly just Kill stuff to get a better Rating.

Good luck unlock the next tier if you do that. You had to kill everything at super speed or you got 2 stars. Stupid system broke something that kinda worked before

Pve in general is scripted I’m not arguing that. I’m saying that delves are giga scripted to the point where it’s painful to run it more than 1 time.

The gameplay is fine, especially with the spores now despawning. But Brann is going to be hated like Malfurion and Tyrande were after that awful questline in Val’Sharah. Such annoying voice lines, plus Brann’s AI is horrible. And then he has the gall to tell me not to stand in something? Pff!

I mean, they have different Variants that rotate between each other. :dracthyr_shrug:

Can’t tell you how often i hear him tell me i’m oom after i used Arcane Surge, but the thing that i find even more annoying is his absurdly large “hitbox” when i try to interract with a Item in the Delve and the game just constantly puts him as my Target…

Like, no i want to click the Objective NPC not Brann!
