So I just did four tier 8 delves in a pug, which was not particularly difficult (with an exception for one specific delve boss) and I got four ilvl 603 upgrades, and two ilvl 616 slots unlocked in the vault.
If we look at mythic plus: 603 ilvl drops in mythic plus +5 keys, and ilvl 616 vault unlocks by doing mythic plus +7 keys.
So I was wondering are delves in a group a bit undertuned at the moment? It almost felt like cheating getting this high ilvl gear this easily and unlocking the same ilvl as +7 keys in the vault
The only one I had an issue with was the last boss on City of Echoes because people didn’t understand the concept of “cc the blob when you get rooted!” and would all end up still standing there to then get stunned.
It was frustrating to the point of losing brain cells. However, Delves are easier than Mythic 0, especially when you do a quick item check on the people you’re joining. I would say 6 times out of 10, you will always have some people in all greens in the group, so it’s just leave group and find another.
I’d rather have someone playing poorly with good gear, then someone with good gear who gets looked at and dies due to poor stats xD
Yeah that’s also not true.
Tanked the new raid in full greens on normal difficulty and we got up to Silken Court in one go.
Good players, knowing your class and the mechanics get really far with sub-par gear.
Mhm, they surely are weirdly tuned depending on the group size.
However, I think that overall gearing-up lost its meaning in its entirety. So in that regard it just doesn’t matter anymore what content drops what ilvl gear, and how much effort it requires.
Delves is a pure group content, it is ridiculous to think about solo. Absurdly insane damage from mobs and bosses and unavoidable aoe mechanic on bosses gives not a chance to do 8+ solo.
Brann as support companion is completely useless toy.
It never is, I would prefer torm bosses to be possible solo.
But with a group you get 4x rewards
Blizzard just loves to hide behind the “this content is for solo players” or “This game can be played solo” But they always, always make interacting with others or group content the “Best” and most efficiant.
I am just using it as an example, because it’s the same thing happening for delves, Not the 4x rewards, But everything will always be better for groups
It’s not, But if they allow grouping, it will always be better than solo, It’s dumb, but it is what blizzard does.
Where did Blizzard say it was solo content only? I am curious as this was a feature that I was interested in, mainly because I play most games with my Sister so this was something that appealed to us in that it was something we could do together.
On Wowhead it says “Delves are short-form instanced scenarios that you can run solo or in a group of 2-5 players in about 10-20 minutes.”
Was it originally meant to be solo content and then changed?
