Delves future

Not really though . Most people run them in normal 5 Man groups

Well, it’s comparable with M+ I suppose.
At a certain level M+ doesn’t give better gear anymore either and any higher than that is just for bragging rights.

I’m sure you can provide proof of this claim. Right?

Even better like what ? Mythic ?

You alrwady get gear equivament to m+9 and and heroic raiding for lol easy content.

If anything Blizzard will nerf gear in there next season to veteran / champions

You keep saying this. You’re just a gatekeeping elitist.

How about upping M+ rewards instead of nerfing the stuff you deem ‘unworthy’ for your ‘vastly superior skills’?

This. if a t8 delve is worth the gear it is, m+ 3 should be dropping that same gear if the difficulty is to be equal.

Nothing to stop them adding delves of tier 12, 13, 14 etc that are harder for more gear.

Well you will see

And i never said unworthy. Its just inapropiate rewarding compared to other game modes.

You are reaping benefits of fear - dvelve team was terrified they will be fired if people dont do them .

So they have reward like hc raiding is doing to lfr levle of content.

In this case why shouldnt lfr and lfg bg offers 616 gear also ?

Because you refuse to try other modes you dont even realise how ridiculous easy dvelve +8 are atm compared to other things wow offers as endgame

I think they are here to stay, and I hope I’m right. I love them and have recently focused excclusively on them(excluding raiding), building my talents around solo sustain and even cc instead of nuke dmg etc… I really enjoy the aspect of it being something solo with rewards like the achievements and even a mount for the glory of the delves. I look forward to what they do with them and almost wish I could spam them and have a ranking system (but I know that’s bad and shouldn’t be implemented, one of those desires I know I shouldn’t wish for).

Delves are fun. Just dont copy paste same one in the future
Some of them are actually different right now

jesus christ. where did you find this information?

It would be nice to have something instead of them focusing purely on m+, so i hope they stay and get expanded upon

I can see them nerfing Delve loot but only if a titan punches them in the head so hard it causes so much brain damage they decide they want to start losing money.

it was easy to see with them instant nerf them the moment they seen miniscule dropp of in completion on day 2

if oyu dont see it - it means you never worked for pure corporate enviroemtn like microsoft is.

This is some mega cope what? There are so many steps that would be out of the delves teams reach, the balance team for one and the fact that it would have had to have been greenlit means it went through the people who would’ve “fired”(No way they have a full team who’s only job is delves, it’s possible they are in a transition phase but even then they would just return back to their original post, yikes) and was approved.

Now I’m normally not this guy but, are you being for real? I’m sorry but if you are going to take m+ as hard you’re full cope mode, it ain’t hard, it’s a stat check. The higher m+ are only hard because of thee intended ilvl simply being too grindy for some so they go in with lower ilvl, but once you have it it’s pve. This ain’t darksouls where the bosses are actually hard, I’m on heroic and the issue ain’t the mechanics, it’s the fact that our dps aren’t geared enough to down the boss in time before enrage, it’s a stat check. So when you tell me that 8+ delves are easy beccause once you get the gear it’s a walk in the park, then my only answer is ofc, that’s WoW pve. Even pvp ain’t hard, it’s convoluted, the pro’s that actually understand it have gone on multiple times explaining why it sucks because it’s basically a set match in the end and not about outplaying.

Your delusion of difficulty does not warrant any privelage of gear.

the nerf was required since this isnt elden ring. and many of us never beat zavkir (or how is it spelled) even after.
And this nerf was 1% of delve content. im enjoyin a lot delves avoiding (for now) this boss.

I think the design path Blizzard will take with gear rewards is to break it up into pieces.

So instead of getting an item at the end of a dungeon or delve, you get a piece of material.

And then if you have 10 pieces of material, you can turn them into an item.

That way Blizzard gets around the issue where players gear up too fast, and some content feels too easy relative to the quality of gear you get, and so on.

It’s basically the design used in ARPGs. And the WoW team seems to find their design solutions in those games these days.

Anyway, it solves the problem, because then you can have Champion gear from both dungeons and delves without any problem, because you can rewards more material per dungeon run than per delve. So each provides the same path to gearing, but one is faster and more efficient whilst being more demanding and logistically taxing.

It also lengthens the gearing process, which is something I think Blizzard desperately wants. It’s not good if people feel they’re kind of done with gearing after a month or two - not when the season is half a year long.

I hope not. Getting a part of a piece of gear just doesn’t feel rewarding.

I like them. I haven’t been playing any for the last week or so because I’ve been desperately focused on getting a +10 done and haven’t managed to because I suck, but as soon as I have I’ll do some more delves.

I love the atmosphere and the playstyle they promote. I would go so far that I think they are one of the best pieces of content in The War Within, and I definitely want to them to continue.

The fact that they are executing well on an idea first fielded by the vanilla team is a bit funny. Took 20 years but here we are.

Fun fact: Scholomance was supposed to have been a delve. :stuck_out_tongue:

Now I want that.

Now this is some cope ffrom me, but I pray some day we’ll get delves like m+ rotations, like some older pieces of content will be updated and turned into delves, can you imagine a deamines delve or a Scarlet crusade dungeon as a delve, god I wish.

Depends on the design. Runewords in Diablo II are basically a design where an item is constructed by smaller pieces, and each one can feel valuable to acquire.

I mean, Blizzard’s problem is that we have 16(?) item slots, and if you just get 16 items fairly easily by doing your chosen activity, then you’re effectively done.

That doesn’t really work for the kind of game WoW is. There has to be a carrot to chase, something to progress and work toward.

The item upgrade system is already a bit of that. You get the item, but then there’s more!

And Blizzard can’t really separate very well the quality of the gear rewards from the various content difficulties, because it’s too arbitrary to evaluate a Mythic+ difficulty versus a Delve versus a Raid. It’s too nitty-gritty. So alas the better option (like ARPGs pursue) is just to differentiate based on time and effort required. You can get everything everywhere, but you get it in greater quantities by doing the more demanding content.

The game has a problem if that’s the realization a veteran player with a somewhat beefy resume ends up concluding.
I look into my crystal ball and I see nerfs, nerfs, and nothing but nerfs on the horizon!
