Not to mention damage seems tuned so you have to be a tank to not get one-shot, sustained dmg seems to be tuned so you need to be a healer to sustain it, and HP pools are so you need to be a dps to not take minutes for some mobs. It doesn’t matter if you go in solo or with a group, except a slight HP increase it’s always tuned with a group in mind, which just makes it impossible solo.
As a cat EVERYTHING 1-2 shots me, as a tank I still just melt because CDs and Bran just isn’t enough to ever sustain the dmg. On T9 some mobs do 5M normal hits. Just how is that supposed to be ever soloable as a dps? Even if my HP pool doubles I’ll die in 2 hits as a non-tank.
No matter what are you going to do the damage done is fixed.
Psychical dmg ?? I doubt that an increase in 20 ilvl would mitigate so much dmg~
Casting spells /etc damage is fixed ~
Health ?? from 600 ilvl to 620 ilvl you get close to 800k health ~ In delve 9-10 that is for that ilvl , you are still getting 2…let’s say 3 shoot~
They really messed up no only with the rewards but the whole status of Mythic + delves…etc.
I had high expaction for the delves but now …don’t we have m+ ?
Why creating another group setup of M+ but with better rewards and easier to do them …
Except I think the dread pit. That one is horribly tuned for parties and while possible requires a bit of a miracle.
The big Nerubian boss there does endless swarm which is unavoidable AoE damage and it hit for like 1.8 million per tick, it’s genuinely not healable with the pitiful amount current heals do. Best you can do is huddle in a spirit link totem or something and pray but then the second one will get you.
I only did a t4 yesterday, it was a real slog as a healer. Not hard, just took forever to kill stuff so i didnt bother going for higher ones. I was hoping delves would be fun, but for me this is easily skippable content.
i did a 4 with this pally and it was faceroll since im a very distracted player. ill try with my huntard as long as i reach 80 and i see. is a good filler. not my preferred one but i enjoy it more than toregast. why? dunno.
That’s weird. I was doing 3 T8 delves yesterday as a Guardian Druid and had absolutely no issues whatsoever. The only time I managed to die was after pulling 4 to 5 packs together.
Maybe it’s the tuning of some specific delves that’s completely messed up?
I agree. I was doing low levels (before I was 80) with no problem - they were a challenge at my level but I could do them. I tried to do the same levels in a different delve last week after I hit 80 and kept dying. It was ridiculously harder.
I wonder if it’s because I’m 80 the mobs’ levels/abilities increase to a ridiculous level. But if I’ve just dinged, I’m still wearing the gear I had at 79.
Yes they were, Delves are touted as the big solo content in Blizzard’s article about things for solo players, look at it this way, groups already had mythic+, but if delves are so much easier in groups, that’s damaging to mythic+ as well, better gear than M+ for facerolling a bunch of Delves…
I’m having as much of a difficulty clearing higher bountifuls as I would expect from my ilvl. I can do a bountiful T7 without too much of a hassle (can’t faceroll or pull the entire room either).
Did T8 normal, but will probably continue to do T7 bountifuls until I get more gear and can do T8 (and above) more comfortably.
Its not as simple as ‘its not the game its the player’ Not every class or spec are the same. Some have less interrupts, some have less mitigation, some have less aoe/st damage, all which affect how your delve goes.
Try putting Brann to DPS and use Porcelain Arrowhead Idol and Amorphous Relic. Brann does literally 600k+ DPS on his own with that build. I go healer and let him do all the work, and the mobs fall over from his damage.
Class tuning also numbers wise is all over the place.
