I don’t understand why everyone is trying to dictate how others play the game.
Lots of people in this community identify as game designers.
The solution for you is to stop playing a MMO if you don’t want to play with people. Buy Baldur’s Gate, Skyrim, Witcher, etc – and play solo as much as you want.
I actually have no issues with solo-able content, provided it can also be done in groups, but I get a little tired of the ceaseless whining from people who choose to play a multiplayer game, but don’t want to play with others.
I play this game because of my friends, and I don’t want to have content taken away from me because of people who’d clearly be happier if they played single player games.
Don’t be so hard on yourself, your view is your view and it is/should be entirely acceptable to express it. On the flip side others with differing views (like myself) can also express our views. A difference of opinion doesn’t make ‘a war’ we can agree to disagree
I have no problems playing with people. It was a sugestion and a terible one at that. but mainly targeted the choise of grouping as many including wowtubers saying it isnt challenging enough. And they realy shouldnt have anything to say about it as they have m+ raids and pvp to challenge them. but if blizz mannage to challenge the group players aswell as not shredding the solo quers then that is fine. But yeah they seem to strugle with that so it was a simple and poorly thought out sugestion
And not all “hard-core” play M+/Raid either.
This casual vs. hard-core divide is exclusively game time. Nothing else.
And I like your point of view. WoW is vast and there should be something for everyone.
But PS (little reminder) : M+/Raid is not all drama. Its not all sunshine and rainbows either.
To be honest Uda I don’t like the terms hard core or casual, we are all players with different playstyles is all, but we all use these terms (I admit I am guilty of using them too) as it seems to be the easiest for people to understand what you are trying to convey.
Someone replied to me the other day and used the term ‘mid-game’ player (rather than end game), I kinda liked it
I can´t tell for sure what is Blizzards real function and idea behind these delves, but as I see it this is not to mix-up with dungeons or raids. This is … something else.
With that point of view I think Nothing should be capped or any limiting for doing delves or dungeons / mythics. As I see it this is two separate games that fill their spot for different type of players.
Alot of ppl, like my self, have played this game for a long long time and still loving it. But lately I mostly play very chill and casual, most of the time I just logg in and do my solo-playing. For this reason delves are a great thing to spend some fun time with, and I can still improve and do some solo-progressing without being forced to run raids nor join mythic+ if I don´t have too.
With this said, I think delves should have its spot for such kind of playing - it should never be another new “dungeon”. Delves are delves, dungeons are dungeons. And with such view I also don´t think delves should be for more then solo-playing or maybe a limit of 2 people. Cause if you wanna run with more people, well … then it will soon starts to become just another dungeons.
I know not all agree on these thoughts, but this is how I see it.
But scaling from tier 1 to tier 10 should be a clear lvl-scale. Tier 1 Should be easy ofc but tier 10 should demand totally extra-ordinary skills, and rewarding ofc.
I find it funny that WoWTubers make a living from people like you that spread their message.
NOBODY cares about them to be honest. Nobody watches them either by the way.
The only wowtubers that actually have some decent following are those that showcase some tech, some way of overcoming a challenge you struggle in, or write guides/offer suggestions.
For example : I follow a guy named Laren. This guy is a RShaman that does super high-end M+. And what he does, the tech he uses helps me in my dungeons. Which are several key levels bellow him.
He has a discord. And in that discord you can ask questions like : What is better, X or Y trinket ? And he personally answers his opinion and why.
THOSE are the wowtubers with followers. The other wowtubers that just whine all day, the only followers are YOU and nobody else. Blizzard for sure dosent listen to them.
Mythic+ is for groups, yet people bypass the skill via buying boosts. Stop the boosts then we can talk.
This week in unusually terrible ideas:
[Insert OP’s post here]
Look…
Being a casual does not mean you wouldn’t want to go into M+ or a raid to experience from time to time - and if you do, you should certainly be rewarded for this. Keep in mind that the best rewards for both comes from the vault.
Being hardcore does not mean you shouldn’t be allowed to see one of TWW’s best new features.
A delver running into a raid does not ruin raids for others.
A raider running into a delve does not run delves for others.
You have allowed yourself to get swept up into meaningless community drama and reached a totally insane conclusion as a consequence.
If Blizzard truly wants to ban all group play from it, for whatever reason, they can simply remove the option to play in groups. No need for all this weird drama-invoked weirdness you’re coming up with.
I wouldn’t recommend it though. Quite frankly, delves are more fun in small groups. It’s nice you can do them alone, but adding a friend or two really does enhance the experience. As long as it’s optional.
I was there in WotlK when I heard the term “casual” for the first time. It came attached to the term “welfare epics” as well…
I prefer to just call people “wow player”. The fact that we can categorize people dosent mean we should.
I like haveing flexible size 1-5, means i can do it alone if i want or with a friend or with my m+ team if we are lacking a person for m+. Would it be easier for them to balance it if it was for solo play only? Maybe… but i like to have options.
Insert this guys nonsense as well as post #2:
If delves were made solo then boosting wouldn’t be possible for them, so for that to happen it should be the same across the board.
Piloted boosting that exists since Vanilla digress with your BS opinion…
Simply stop. Use 2 neurons and think carefully why 1 illegal service undervalues what tons of people do the right way…
For the love of everything that is Holy… I have already admitted it was a terible idea. Marked the post to be removed by blizz. Cant realy do more than that.
Or… i can apologize for coming up with the bad idea… so… I m sorry i was wrong with my sugestion. Jeez
Illegal stuff still goes on, including real money boosts. It’s never stopped… just google it.
@ Patrick. Na, you don´t have to apologies ofc.
Someone have to start at diskussion, then people join to bring in thoughts and different views and help bring that diskussion further. Just as it should be …
Nothing would ever be done if we stopped bring ideas and thoughts up for debate, so that is just a good thing.
The “real problem” is when people starts to complain and reply with stupid nonsense or similar, cause such won´t really bring any positive to the cause, will it?
Don´t listen to much to stupid comments, instead look at the activity going on here cause of this topic. That is a good thing in the end.
Exactly. I has never stoped, and it started with games older than WoW.
So. Tell me again how this undervalues what many do legally ? Because you still haven’t answered that question…
Its not like everyone is boosting their way to CE you know ? Many people actually play the game and are content with their achievements.
So if you are going to literally say that ALL problems are because of boosters … then dunno … mature a bit … grow some neurons …
Imagine if I said the following : I think painkillers in hospitals should be managed this way… and some idiot shows up and said " I wont do squat until they fix illegal drug trade " …
That is literally everyone…
I get it you like boosting.
