Demo Warlock needs massive nerfs

Literally checked Drustvar a moment ago. And took 1800+ as the data bracket since we have the begining of the season. 2s Demo is most popular caster. 3s surprise it lost to Boomy since Havoc/Boomy is historically good and people actually play it a lot I met few.

Fun fact a lot of Demo players themselves and high rated players in other threads literally say that Demo is op. Anyway your NA idols making tier lists put it in broken bracket.

Also you say something about exploiting weaknesses and my email. First of all you are a coward because you didn’t respond and now you tried to shame me with my message when I truely was genuine towards you. It’s a dickmove making me lose respect to you. Regarding exploiting weaknesses after rework I don’t see any. Demo does more damage than most specs on single target than them on multi targets. It has MS and the only way to stop some of it’s damage is rooting pets and going los but it’s few sec. It’s way more tanky and has similar amount of CC as Rogue.

Also I consulted it with my 2800+ friends. Plenty of them have similar opinions. I’m sorry I don’t trust your 1800 demo exp opinions that you base of your few shuffle games and some opinions of your partner in biased defence of this spec. You didn’t compromise yourself yet as him but he’ve shown that there is no way anyone would take his opinion about Demo serious. He is absolutely clueless talking about shuting down Tyrant and some Nether Portal delusions.

So over the years there were few counterplays and ways to deal with Demo. First was cheese of killing his pet in SL. Then spreading Flame Shocks on CD. It tried all of the known solutions to me. Every single time I ended being outdamaged losing in dampen to a facetanking Demo standing in the middle of the arena not using port once. Out of 7 encounters with Demo in 2s I won once because R Sham was an idiot standing in the open next to Warlock facetanking my Lava Burst so he went oom. Out of all games I played and I played a few at 2k mmr in my Isheartears these Demo Locks were the worst players besides Merce.

3s is the same story. I played some Affli L.S.D. against Demo/Fire MLD. Demo went on top of us facetanking and didn’t use port or gate once playing a shield to Fire Mage. I played some Turbo today with Saphea (2800 Priest) and Precel (almost 2700 exp) and we played few MLDs. We beat them when they played with Destu but once they switched to Demo - 0 chance. It’s not only about me but way better players than any of us. You can say what you want. And tell me I don’t want to improve but we discussed the strats after the games and tried to find solutions. As I said I’m not the best player but these guys are better and they also couldn’t find the solution.

What are you going to do with these informations. I don’t really care but I lost all respect to you for bringing my personal message to you trying to shame me. As I said your opinion about Hunter I’d treat serious but forgive me I don’t trust your 1800 demo exp opinion after few solo shuffle lobbys since Wednesday. I somehow find it more logic to trust my 2700+ friend and Demo mains with 2400+ exp about the spec. I don’t feel I’m wrong about it. Especially that Saphea is almost 2k on his Prevoker already and he faced many top EU players. I still believe that his opinion is 10 times more valuable to me than yours. Not to even mention the guy who mains Demo and then post nonsenses like Daedra. I’ve never seen someone so clueless about his main.

This topic reminds me why I stopped using these forums for quite some time. The amount of copium and bias of some players broke the scale long ago. It’s just pointless to discuss here and instead I’ll twit WarcraftDevs. It’s truely exhausting to deal with entitled people

Demo is strong but not necesarilly OP. It has good AFK sustain damage and the burst profile of a ret kind of (1 min cd, 20 seconds of highish burst but not mega, more like a higher intensity sustain).

  • Big CC (probably most of any caster on par with Mage)

I think the nerf to tyrant made it somewhat more opressive because then when you ccd the tyrant it was GG, now there is no single big damage pet, they all kinda do decent/big damage, so you have to either run/cc/root from all, or to disrupt the lock as much as you can inbetween he summons fiend (thats the big warning) and tyrant.

The amount of copium broke the scale. My friend is literally playing 2x damage trinket on Troll because he knows he won’t die anyway.

Let’s see

Mage:

-spammable Poly
-Ring of Frost - same DR as Poly
-Dragon’s Breath

Demo:

-Axe Toss
-Summon Demon: Axe Toss
-Spammable Fear
-Coil
-Shadow Fury

Truely on par with Mage. If there is a spec that Demo has CC on par it’s Rogue.

What nerf? It is a buff to Demo overall as before every Warrior will Fear Tyrant as their CD lines. This way all Demo damage was disarmed as Demo did damage on Tyrant and tickled outside of it. This change made Demo more sustain based and Tyrant by itself is as strong but it just buffs all pets. You die to other demons and Demon Bolts.

My tyrant hitted for 30k-50k wollte Vilefiend and my guard do the same damage.

I line Affliction more now but in ss it’s crazy to play Affliction.

If they left me unchecked i totally melt the team.

Checking in just to say I feel that Demo hits too hard and is too tanky with little counterplay but I love your mog Naze, stealing for my lock xx

Demo is insane, i think Affliction damage is higher but easier to kill.

Thanks, I’m only not happy with the weapon.
