Tbh it’s kinda lackluster - it’s not even 100% uptime on mortal strike if you connected on target all time for the price of an honor talent - while other melee classes have it for free and with 100% uptime.

And it costs Dh it’s only unique utility - they’d better come up with much better compensations in terms of defensives because currently the class that supposed to outtrade and outlast others if it have good connection time on target cantt outtrade and outlast anything at all.

The fact that DH have to be in specific covenant just to be semi-viable in PvP also does not help.

It’s not bad, but not great. Seems like Blizzard is terrified of giving DH anything meaningful. Now they can’t deny the problem anymore after 0 DH were played in AWC. Trust me glimpse isn’t going to increase DH arena representation above 1.3%.

NVM. Just seen that it replaces Mortal Rush.

No Mortal Strike on Fel Rush is huge. Means you only need to use it for UBC and defensive. Even the first part should not be and UBC should be its own charge or AoE explosion after Immolation Aura ends.

The offset for 5 second duration is due to it being on your spammy AoE.

Glimpse is situational and only good for BGs and Duels and maybe against something like Destro.

I think the change is good, what i was questioning was the decision to leave mortal rush along side mortal dance.
However I found out shortly after that they replaced Rush with Dance. Unlike what it says in the title.

Right now Mortal Rush gives a 10 sec MW on an ability with 2 charges and 10 sec cd, so it’s 100% uptime. The change will reduce it to 5 sec on an ability with 1 charge and 8 sec cd, so this is a nerf.

Its not relevant because in Demon Form you have Haste Buff + Metamorphosis Haste Buff, essentially putting my Death Sweep back down to 5,7 seconds.

Any other use for mobility but mobility is stupid. It should have a lower duration for being one of the few AoE MS.

When we activate the aura we should get another charge for Fel Rush or just get a free Fel Rush for the duration. Problem solved.

Not really a nerf, with haste BD does go down in CD. Plus FR is primarily our movement CD and should NOT be tied to even more passive abilties… DH this xpac is not DH of the last one, without your mobility you are dead… We already need it for UBC, so why you just want more and more and more passives tied to this one ability.

I just don’t understand why we get talent which is the baseline for other classes/specs. Mortal Wounds should be the baseline of BD, just as it is with other classes/specs. Talent could eventually be something like arms Sharpen Blade. I know that MW for BD gives aoe MW effect, but it wouldn’t be bad if we also had something unique as a baseline, like all the other classes/specs have.

I think it is only baseline for rogues and warriors, but agree that since we are like rogues and warriors in that we are melee focused only, not hybrid, we should possibly get it BL.

Baseline for arms (mortal strike), ww (rising sun kick), rogue (wound poison) and hunter (pets).

AH yeah, my bad, you’re right. Then yeah, they could definitely do with a baseline MS, would only make since this is the only dps spec in a class with two specs.

“Targets” instead of main-target. In RBG it means uptime on everyone meaning that target switching is a lot more deadly.

  1. DH struggles in duels not so much on RBG and mortal rush allowed the same big spread for 10 sec since 9.0, which might be more valuable in RBG scenario.

  2. Warriors, Rogues and with new talent feral Druids capable to have 100% uptime mortal strike on multiple targets (ferals also got slow in tsaid talent for free just to rub the salt to the wound).
