You press Immo, damage baked in with fury that is Aoe, Same with Eyebeam, and 1-2 demon bites. Then smash chaos strike and Blade Dance. DH is beyond easy, Don’t pretend otherwise.
every class/spec has 2-3 button rotation excluding big cd’s , others are just fishing procs. I see no difference gameplay wise with others. Btw i see lots of fury wr complaining about dhs . Fury is budget version of dh atm and legit has same simple rotation. If you all about high skill should reward more thing all reroll arcane mage and smash the dps charts.
Assuming everyone plays blind fury (I said one of the best builds , not the to-go build).
Play demonic appetite and it’s a whole different class.
Of all the arguments that could be made the “mad skills” is the weakest of them all, like really stop it.
This braindead spec thing is valid for basically all specs, and it doesn’t matter anyway. This is a game, the point of a game from a consumer prospective is fun, difficulty does not necessarily mean fun, as long as what you do is satisfying, i made the example about demonic in legion, you had, eye beam, annihilation, demon bite, that was basically it, these were the 3 most important dps abilities, and it was still fun, because those 3 abilities did a lot of things.
Let’s take instead for example, ret pally, another “brainded” spec, now fun is subjective, but i would find it hard to believe that someone would enjoy a spec such as ret, it’s basically as close as a 123 rotation as you can get, there is basically no depth to it at all. Instead wod ret pally was way superior. And bfa base ret is a bit better than legion, but still not good.
I mean, Arcane mage is literally just Arcane blast. That’s the burst, rotation, and opener.
And then you complain about DH?
You see, the thing with arcane mages is that they do nowhere near the DHs DPS, they need to cast, and to cast they need to stand still while DH can just smash face into keyboard on the move and still do damage.
Also resource management is a thing for Arcane. Unlike DH.
DHs get too much value out of their very easy to use kit. That’s the problem.
Movement , resource management , decision making . They all effect your dps while playing arcane mage. You can easily waste a big cd or run out of resource do nothing for 10 secons while playing arcane mage. Arcane is always viable if you can play it but no one literally plays it because it’s way harder compared to frostbolt and fireball spams.
Because resource management is the point of the spec, and i mean, i didn’t really use alts in this expansion, but at the moment arcane mage seems to be the most powerful in pure st.
Anyway arcane mage is a disgrace of a spec, way inferior to it’s legion counterpart.
I am aware of that, but as you said.
Same with other classes and Demon Hunter, Going through a complex rotation, with a very real danger of screwing up and putting your dps way behind, DHs can pretty much recover from any mistake, just because of how their kit works.
So does paladins / balance druids / fury warriors / ww monks / rogues / enh shamans.
Arcane is always viable and someone who CAN play it always gets top of dps charts. Only problem is spec is way too hard and no one plays it.
So managing your Fury with random generation, making sure you don’t overcap while still having enough fury to do eye beam + blade dance, is not resource management? Okay then.
The only thing I think is a bit too strong, is the demonic appetite health recovery, this makes you heal way too much. Oddly enough I never hear anyone talk about that. It’s always cry leech cry.
Try getting top dps with that Enough DH that struggle with their rotation.
All classes have some form of resource management, it’s a false statement to say otherwise, it;s just that some have a bigger emphasis on it, and arcane has the biggest.
It’s really not that hard though, you have cd? Burn mana, no mana use evocation, conserve phase, and then repeat, not complicated.
I don’t disagree with you there, my gripe is only with how DHs literally get rewarded just for doing simple things, Eyebeam giving demon form that gives increased damage and insane leech, their utility is also way off the charts, a purge, their interrupt giving resource, aoe 15% chance to avoid ALL damage, AoE stun, Incap. It gets even worse in PvP with mana rift, the Imprison talent, their 100% dodge on their blade dance.
Can’t struggle with rotation if there is no rotation.
I do agree some of your points but we are not really that op neither on pvp or pve. We are a solid pick but not god tier , never been. Pvp has same meta for 3 seasons (rmp meme) and for pve we had really hard time during 8.0 for m+ while outlaw was idiotically broken. Everyone was going 3 outlaws as dps for high keys.
I still do want this spec going back to what it was during legion , it was more fun to play before demonic became only build we could play.
Again, demon form doesn’t give you leech, you have to spec into that.
L2P DH. You can’t top DPS charts without a proper rotation.
I think you will change your mind if you do high arenas… DH’s are absolutley ridicilous, even in 2s they are, worst part is that they can easily hold 25-37k DPS in PvP. That, along with the leech, get’s a bit ridicilous, and their Blur, and blade dance, and Shoot off into space talent, it gets kinda dumb.
I prefer classes that takes some kind of complexity, like Feral.
Dodging a major cd with blade dance or meta is a really hard thing during pvp just saying and rarely anyone does that and like i said rmp meta exists since bfa launch , dh is not that good for arenas. It is good for rbg and 1v1’s basically but not 3v3 which is where they balance pvp.
Then stop talking about how “OP” DH is, as you clearly have no real DH experience.
Oh but I have, I got a DH up to 2k Rating in season 1 in RBGs. So yes, I do know what I am talking about.
