While this is partially true, and the best bit about the outcast fantasy is being, well, an outcast, it wouldn’t surprise me if there were actually some DKs that on occasion visited the major cities.
To trade, to find other adventurers to fight greater threats, etc.
Even assuming they can buy some reagents in Acherus, why buy imported goods in a flying necropolis if you can buy them at a cheaper price elsewhere?
Oh I agree . I don’t think they would be a common sight at all in the Capital however.
You saw how in the Shadowlands intro there were a ton of Concerned onlookers , literally their npc name I believe , because Death Knights were about to inform about the Shadowlands.
But as I said I don’t blame any Death Knight that frequents Stormwind alot. Just nowhere else to go.
If anyone, the Death Knights know there is now a new Arbiter who is a nice fellow and owe us a favor… so could just end it right there to go to a deserved afterlife
The murdermachine that need to cause suffering or go insane but it is a “heroic protector of the Living” qucikly falls apart if you scratch the surface…
I’m almost as certain that those man’ari customisations will be just that, they don’t have green fire so I’m sure they are cleansed. Fel just alters even your genetics so the mutations will be showing up for generations (Draenei and generations… eh.), the orcs werent turned into full demons and have green skin to this day. Imagine a being which was a literall demon for millenia.
Sadly we can’t house every DH RPer in argent dawn, as much as we would love to have the capacity to do so. We’re a pretty closed-off community after all, and that comes with its shares of advantadges and disadvantadges.
Though, as a personal piece of advice, do not shy away from adventuring guilds or the likes just for being a Demon Hunter. It can help to ground your roleplay in a way that Illidari-only communities struggle.
To be a lone wolf, and like a gargoyle, perching on the edge of a roof and patiently waiting for the time to strike and keeping an ever vigilant eye on the streets below to spot a Demon in Stormwind isn’t that bad…
The job of a demon hunter will soon become as effortless as it is obsolete, simply pointing down the street at having found yet another.
Keeping up with the times, they belong with their kinfolk, zealously guarding that one patch of land still considered kaldorei territory in a world that’s by and large left them behind.
I completely understand why you would keep it a closed-off community, its one of those things that makes sense for DH RP in some sense, as you say.
I’ll try and sus out a good way for me to go about it. I might join another type of guild, as long as there’s other DHs there! Maybe the veiled glaive will open up at some point and I’ll try to pounce down the road >:)
It may seem like a dead job to some, but the truth is the Legion is still out there, Sargeras and Illidan are still out there and other threats loam that may open up new lore pathways for us. There’s plenty of ways for blizz to mess it up, but even so there are plenty of things to hunt.
