seriously,
nobody cares about your DPS in 5 man.
you don’t have Imp HP buff for tank, you don’t have felhunter silencing the casters, you don’t have succy seducing the rogue add.
all you do is pull aggro from the tank with your ‘UBER’ dps,
straining the healer and die (because lifetap is soo important and sitting on 20% hp is the way to go),
even when we ask you to CC or to silence or to put the fire shield on the warrior, you decline because “youre DS spec and you do more deeps”.
it is easier when you are dead.
stop it guys. its a raid spec , don’t use it in dungeons.
Before this toon I mained a holy pala and I have to say warlocks were often quite annoying for the same reasons you mention.
What I find specially aggravating is how they NEVER drink, even when there’s a break between pulls, like they don’t even have water on them… stingy noobs.
They’d rather slow the entire run down by wasting the healer’s mana than spending a few silver on drinks…AND THEY’RE A FREE MOUNT CLASS.
Stingy noobs !
Well you certainly live up to your character name.
Didn’t work that way when i was healing 2 locks + melee and tank in ST. They were just killing mobs nonstop while i was drinking between pulls.
Warlock killing things while healer is drinking is FASTER way to clear dungeon imo.
Drinking is for bums lifetap is pro
It all depends. As a holy pala, I usually got no problem healing a warlock with rank 1 for tapping, sometimes I even bless them with light instead of wisdom. But that’s if the tank is decent and not taking tons of damage all the time.
Everyone has to adapt to make the run smoother, that means taking dps/healing/tanking abilities into consideration. You can’t just say “don’t use DS in dungeons”, because a lot of times the dps is worth it. It’s just that it wasn’t for you at that time.
Any non braindead DS sacrifices for hp regen not for damage, because warlock’s damage for 5 mans is already high, yet health regeneration allows you to not insult a healer. I’ve seen only few locks who drink or bandage. The class for scrubs.
What’s the point of rolling Warlock if you’re going to drink?
I disagree with this.
Looks like the OP just got back from a 2 week ban, and they may be heading for another one.
If I constantly get aggro I use the imp for -20% threat.
If threat is fine and there isn’t a big amount of AoE damage I have the succubus out and attack (or seduce occasionally) giving me and herself 10% bonus damage.
If threat is fine and there is a bunch of AoE damage I sacrifice the succubus for +15% shadow damage.
The thing is, threat is often not really a problem. So what if I have aggro of some caster, he’s dead quickly enough anyway.
If you’re a tank and mark a mob with a skull that has 8k HP or less then don’t spend too much threat on it… some initial attack, a taunt when you lose threat and that’s it, focus on the other mobs instead, this one will die without hurting anyone much.
I never had anybody have issue with me doing dungeons and I was specced various specs lol.
And ye warlock will always pull aggro unless he is wanding thats the class , maybe if it was really bad geared tank I would sac void walker to never drink instead but yea if u have issues with warlocks now wait till you join raids lol.
I would never want to tell some one how to play their class.
Saying that it did hurt a bit, when we had the option to CC the DM:N ogre packs and it simply wasn’t being used. Instead I had threat issues from nuke pulls.
The Priest, ranting about spreadsheets for BiS who seemed to conclude my 60% reduction armor to be the reason I was getting flattened too early. He was going oom within 15-20 seconds, trying to explain that flash heal was his only effective means of healing (you know, forget renew at beginning and rank use).
Everyone, barr one, blamed me for the failed run. How it goes.
I mean it does kind of sound like you were taking too much damage
Aye, guess CC would’ve been a clever tool to use, which was one of the OP’s points.
Just gave his post a reflective scenario, as we had two sacrifice locks in the failed run.
Tanks don’t carry, they assist the “team”.
I dont think its the warlocks fault you didnt bring a CC class
Had 57 Rogue, because all bar him was 60 and I don’t like to take an elitist approach.
His sap included a risk factor so was not a solid option. Seduction x2, on the other hand was. Warlocks have more to them than dots and bolts.
All just my opinion, and I’m happy to admit I’m not perfect either at the end of the day.
Thank you for the chat :’-)
So you asked them to do that before the dungeon started?
+++ Real bro
Lol, if they’re lifetapping AFTER I drink… their booty isn’t getting healed
