Unfortunately, my enjoyment is related to my equipment. It’s not much fun to spend 1 1/2 hours every week zerging the hc raid hoping you get out what you need for a month and a half.
I would like to do other things, like pushing high keys.
why dont u craft gear u only have 2* spark item equipped
Push high keys, then, and craft yourself a weapon. I don’t know if it’s true for every ret player (although I suspect it’s likely) but my GM and myself have both found that a 447 weapon is better than HC Ashkandur.
it’s incredible how people can go crazy if they don’t have all the gear in bis.
after all, it’s only a game, and if you’re missing a few pieces of bis gear, you’ll probably survive it anyway, and there’s always new stuff, and then it’s not bis anymore
And then in a few months time when the new season starts all the BiS gear you’ve grinded out suddenly become WiS 
(except the Onyx Annulet :P).
I do like dopamine from getting loot. Problem? There is not enough loot in this game. I didn’t get any meaningful loot for 2 weeks except crafted gear. It feels extremely stingy and grindy with wow tokens being almost mandatory to progress ilvl, because no good loot drops from vault or dungeons for me. I can only grind crests, spend gold, and wait for weekly reset. It’s so trash. The only thing I can do now to gear is farming aspect crests, raiding mythic (impossible for me, even if I wanted to), or craft. I’m so tired of the game that I move to PvP for a while
Wow tokens are not mandatory, you dont need to buy gold to make crafted items. They arent even particularly expensive. Legendary crafting in SL was expensive…
Idk how it’s now, but when I crafted my items I needed to spend around 50k per item, which translates to 100 world quests
I have recently made a couple of items for an alt at 447 they cost me about 2000g in mats and a 10k crafting fee. Sparks are free and the crest was about 16k so under 30k.
Do you realise how long it takes to grind 30k considering how much it costs to repair and change transmog? 60 world quests + all the gold you just lose randomly for consumes/repairs/etc. Sry, but I have 4 crafted items, and I won’t do 60 world quests for each one. For me, I either buy a wow token, or I quit, and since blizzard gets 7 euro cut for every token, I can see why this is the case
Well if you cant be bothered to generate gold yourself why are you moaning about tokens?

The vault is an extra chance at loot. It’s not a means to guarantee gearing. Sometimes I don’t even take an item and just get a socket instead.
Because why would I grind 30k gold for 10 hours, when I can spend 20 euro for 370k? Do I look like a Peon orc?

I bought tokens? I just think farming it is unrealistic. There is no other option for me to get end game loot progression without paying more money, and I pay a sub to play. If world quests gave 2k gold each, then I would not mind
