After watching the Crix interview and listening to the reply about archeology and i quote : “There are actually people who do like that grindiness and being out there in the world” you lost so much respect from me, but also in so many others. You really consider us stupid or low intelligence, but i guess we might be if we still support your company after that. You couldnt even replay correctly or with any information in any decent question. You failed misserably. You failed to realise that the majority people playing the game are not 15-16 year old as it used to be 14 years ago. Those players are dads, Company workers or at least people who dont have 15 hours/day to “enjoy the grinding”. That the modern playerbase that you reffered to that isnt onboard with your decisions.
As far archeology, as company you chose to show high numbers of interaction and being online by your customers since that will be great on your Xcel sheets for the 2nd trimester of WoW wotk/cataclysm. Yet you fail to remember how unsuccessful Cataclysm was, you did not learn from your mistakes. You said " we might do something about % of archeology or BLP but after raid release" It like saying “we will end the world hunger and gives tons of food to people but after people died” it wouldnt matter then. Congratz on your failure. Hope on the next interview that you will do in few months ago to at least apologize for considering us so stupid. And you will realise that after the massive Dip of subs. Lets see who will be the stupid then.

You don’t need archeology gear, especially when it has also confirmed that the raids will be in their post nerf state.
They are a participation thropy and nothing more, if you are unable to control yourself it’s your fault not the developers.

Right now ive invested around 100 hours and 1200 solves on this archeology thing. Also i was and still am a pretty active player. I dont want every achievement. As you saw on my post i never said anything about solves and numbers and epics. I said that i was dissapointed that after all that chaos that exists with archeology, people spending massive amounts of time they gain completely nothing, and the responce of the Developers is that people actually enjoy that. They are mocking us because they have nothing else to say. They choose Good trimester results over player base satisfaction. That would look great for now, but will hit pretty hard later on. Its kinda a standard Business rule. and i state again this was their reply
“There are actually people who do like that grindiness and being out there in the world”

But there ARE actually players that enjoy this.
Anyone who dont enjoy it but are above 500 solves need to go take a good look in the mirror before they start blaming blizzard for anything.
The items arent that powefull, and anyone that keep on farming for them even though they hate it, deserve every mockery that they can get.

5-15% dmg increase for any caster compared to any combo of preraid bis is not that powerfull? For a player that is targeting to help his guild at the most that % is pretty high.
And if everyone complaining is so wrong, why doesnt blizzard/devs post a specific answer with numbers so can make everyone of us , who according to you are so wrong and whining, shut us up??
I can link here so many US/EU forums posts, Reddits posts, Youtube videos, hours of Twitch streams,Discord channels with thousand of players involved, even petitions posted and 0 (ZERO) responce from Blizzard. But in the interview spoke about a lvl 20 quest Bugfix.
You say you invested x amount of time into this, its just a game with no guarantee of anything really
Invest in having fun that’s not linked to online gambling, sorry archaeology
For people that only want to play at the highest competitive level…is wow the best game for that?
I honestly have no idea
Also I would imagine they have a lot of things to try fix not just archaeology.
From their point of view it probably is a great success in that people are spending huge amounts of time gaming
I blame the people that make the bis lists, they should word things appropriately for their audience and warn them explicitly that these are incredibility rare and unlikely to find find them so don’t get hung up on getting them - prob wouldn’t work but meh

They literally decided to keep Fury’s mastery nerfed, which is the worst possible solution to this issue. As Gates once said, they’re looking for lazy people with the cheapest solutions… and that’s exactly what they did with Fury warriors’ mastery. It’s ironic that a spec that only has one area to excel in, which is PvE, is now nerfed so severely that the PvP-dominant spec, Arms, is keeping Fury in the shadows even in PvE. They literally made this spec unplayable and overall warrior class game experience unbalanced.
You think they gonna make anythign about it? Pfff…
It really do be like that tho. They could stick a tigolbitty goth gf in the ground and it still wouldn’t get me to do archeology.
No one gives a fock about it. Really. Support is dead. They making decisions by statistics. Not by communication
And who the f is Crix? Some relative of bliz staff?
Well Shivette … if she would be very big, like … VERY BIG … I think I would do the archeology despite all the hardships …
Going out of your way to get something that has a near 0% drop chance and complain about it just to have an edge in the first couple of weeks raiding is stupid and a sign of low intelligence.
But, seeing as post-nerf dungeons and raids are confirmed now, it means that’s the type of player Blizzard is catering to. Players who don’t play for fun, but for the loot and for the validation of World of Logs. You may complain about the grind, but you’ll put in the hours regardless. If I was Blizzard I wouldn’t change Archaeology either, if all I cared about was getting money.

I don’t understand why is there a discuss between Bad Luck Protection and People enjoying archeology ?
I mean, people enjoying archeology are doing it casual, they are between 1 and 300 solves right now, and they will probably end the prepatch with less than 500 solves. My hunter friend doesn’t care about 359 but he is a big collector, he has grabbed all toys / mounts / pets available and he is at 300 solves. He’s not tilted by arch and enjoy it.
Other side, min-maxer are at 1500+ solves right now (1700 for me) and are tired about the pure rng grind
If you add a BLP system revelant at 1000+ solves the casual experience of archeology isn’t concerned and everyone is kinda happy.
I 100% understand the fact that people are tilted to see post about BLP, but i really think that they can make it change so everyone will find their own pleasure with archeology.
Well… maybe… if she has bangs as well.
If you don’t enjoy something then what is the point in doing it? And don’t say because I need to help my guild … its this attitude that you must have BiS that is turning it into a job, not a profession that some people enjoy and some people hate.
so you are trying to tell me that me majority of the classic players isnt not about min/max? world first race? speedrunning? Speedkilling? Using some lvl 10 quest reward for like 15sp more for icc? All those seem strange to you? All wotlk content was cleared within 1-2h from each release. These are the modern players that play the game now.
Those are the average players and not the ones people should take as an expample to aproach the game.
The average does not spend X amount of time on the PTR, does not raid on multiple char.
Stop comparing yourself to those people.
Stop being a dad sounds like a u issue at this point

Would be interesting to find out
I think the sweat lords are merely the most vocal and their actions influence the sheeple into acting as they do so it artificially inflates there numbers while the more casual dude’s are chilling, killing and clearing stuff in silence, playing happily with their mates.
