Don’t worry, we’ll get another squish at some point, then Blizz will goof on the implementation (I remember newly-created Blood elves being unable to level up right after the first squish, because certain level 1 mobs in the starting area 1-shot them), numbers will go right back up again because gearing up has to be noticeable, the complaining about big numbers will start up again, and we’ll be right back where we are now…
I dont really look at the numbers so it doesnt matter too much to me if it says 1000 or 1000000. To me its just coloured bars going down that i have to heal up again.
That’s totally right …
Professions was sure a top quality to increase the power of you character in older expansion
Nowadays just look at Dragonflight design.4 Season with near 140+ ilvl from the 1st tier to last tier .
Season 1 Character was having 4k agility at 420 ilvl max season gear.
Season 4 character i’m having near 14k agility and not even close to Season 4 max ilvl.
But the enchants remain the same …
The value gained from the enchant through season becomes quite bad and no wonder i see people without enchant and whatever…
The gained are so lacking that doesn’t represent the power through the seasons…
That’s pretty much how it feels to me as well.
I really don’t care.
I prefer bigger numbers for the cool effect
I don’t care if numbers get to mil or bil
bigger means better
That’s like 170% increase not 599%
I have so small healths , now I see the 1 millone , I am have less than the 1 thousand
1.01 to power of 528-330 equal 7.171 , for 617 percentage of increase through expansion . I think this is too many , goal to appeal the top mythic raider , so they are happy pants ? They are never happy ,forget them
I prefer smaller numbers but it’s so low on my care-o-meter that it really doesn’t matter.
It’s also a little smaller than 1.01. I forgot the number now, but yeah - it’s exponential, and that really is the problem. Exponential functions grow FAST (if the exponent is above 1 of course, but even here where it’s just sliiiightly above 1, it goes crazy)
If we want to keep it under control, and I really would like that, there needs to be a logarithm applied somewhere, which is basically what I suggested a few posts up. That’s what the original game did. Worked fine - no idea why they just let players hit max level and then just forgot about its existence. It’s kindda weird.
you needed a min of 8k hp to survie most boss mechanics in raids so dps needed to be 8.500 k buffed min . so having 6 k would be rubiish.
Bigger the better. I am hoping for Diablo style numbers in the Trillions…
Not for T4-5 content.
As a Tauren Hunter sunwell geared my HP where 8.9
Unbuffed of course.
well no matter what there is a squish coming in the 2nd part of the story
I don’t care - I have enough IQ and brain power to comprehend bigger numbers and %'s
they got more HP be default
Idk how close we are to another full level and number squish. But I reckon it’s being talked about at least, so that’s positive.
Just checked my screshoys of TBC classic, in T6 gear unbuffed I had 9k hp
Personally i like big numbers , i like doing 2-3m dps and doing BIG hits
Yes. I think that when we get to millions the numbers lose readability and it gets silly. It also clutters the screen.
Millions are for raid bosses, not players.
