Did anyone else prefer the smaller health pools?

Yes, the expansion called midnight. They squish things all the time. There have been like 5 squishes or so.

well you would as a tauren has a

Endurance - Spell - World of Warcraft (wowhead.com)

as a racial but as i said we all know a squish is coming in Midnight its been said already so moot points.

P.S why are you trying to clone Tah? does not sit right with me.

simple answer is turn on % on hp pools and turn off dps and hps numbers on your UI just keep them to meters to remove clutter.

If only the ilvl increases were done by smaller increments rather than by so much every level/tier…

I hope the squish won’t affect expacs below DF tho… it’s already squished too hard below DF… plus last time they did it, the enchants and armor kits became unusable for years XD

Of course, in fact full buffed (PWF, mark, kings and food buff) I get to around 11k, because until TBC endurance worked on total stamina so also counting buff.

There is also to remember that in TBC itemization was stil a bit waky, with some items givin little or no stamina at all.

But I don’t think the expansion after TWW will reduce the such numbers.

And I could count to 1 million at age 2, let my caretaker know, and got sent off to be checked for autism.
But my best friend’s mom was an expert in autism (yes, that is one hell of a coincidence lol) and knew me well enough to know I wasn’t on the spectrum; maybe a little, but not enough that it would be a problem. And she was right.
Today I spend 8-12 hours a day doing mathematics and programming.

What does it matter? It’s still overlapping and scrolls much too fast to have any real meaning when it’s like this.

All your math skills are for nothing when you can’t read the darn numbers first!

Honestly it means very little to me. It’s just numbers. As long as HP and damage is in balance, it’s all good.

I just think there’s a tremendous satisfaction from seeing unusually large numbers due to gear upgrades, but when the numbers have 5 or even 7 digits it’s like… I can’t remember enough digits to remember if it’s a high hit.

Not to mention the vast majority of hits are tiny, but there are a lot of them. Even on a mage.

I get that. But they’re still just numbers. I think I get more satisfaction from a crit, with it being a BIG BOLD number. Or indeed as you say; a massive amount of numbers is also satisfying to see.

But as for their actual number; I don’t really care. As long as I know it’s in relation to the HP of whatever I’m fighting.

I should make my addon do that lol. Imagine fighting a raid boss and the number that pops up is 0.0035% hahaha

I actually think I can…

Oh my God… this is the dumbest thing ever.

It’s as a percentage, by the way. I couldn’t add the % - WoW’s UI expects a numeric value for displaying this. If I try to send a string with “%” it works once and then breaks.

Yeah, don’t we all love ignite ticks for 0.02119% of the enemy’s health. ROFL - if this doesn’t show how dumb the numbers are in this game by now, nothing will.

Yea the amount of random meaningless damage happening is enormous .
If you PvP and you check the blizzards UI for the recap , you can’t even see what killed you , because you have like 8 abilities that hit you for 5-10k damage in the span of a second .
So many abilities hit in a single second that if you have two people attacking you , you just see an endless roll of 5-10k hits .

Yes, absolutely!
Smaller numbers are easier to read, they should squish it again on TWW release

Personally, i love the big health pools, but i’m a tank, so I usually correlate my power with my health pool. So i’m most definitely biased in that regard.

they already said there is a squish coming in midnight as numbers atm are not high enough to warrant a change.

So after the next squish, you die just as quickly, but from 500 - 1K hits instead of 5K - 10K ones (Still 8 attacks, still all in 1 second), what is the practical difference then?

Your message of the day is one of the best things I’ve seen all day

Problem is with small ilevel jumps it makes motivation go completely down. I’m not progressing or raiding for 3 days a week to down bosses that give loot a few ilevels higher to feel 2% stronger. Not in a brand new raid tier anyway.

Doesn’t need to be that way if the Formulas are properly adjusted.
Can have nice 10% increase if you 50 agi gets a +5 stat.

I mean of course the numbers have to go up. It’s just that they’ve made the scaling exponential, so eventually the numbers will go off into the stratosphere.

Put simply, each item level is a certain percentage stronger than the one before. So if you have 3k HP, 1 level in every slot is gonna be like 30 HP, but if you have 1.000.000 HP, the slot in each is gonna be around 10.000 HP more.

It’s not hard to see how this gets crazy real fast.
