Would it be a good idea to get the possibility to purchase a digital copy of the origanal vanilla WoW collector edition to implement into your WoW Classic 20. Years Anniversary? I would love it and this is the perfect time as a celebration of 20 year of WoW

Sorry if my post was unclear. But i dont understand how you think im talking about private server.
What im asking for is that blizzard release a digital copy of the orignal WoW that we can purchase and add into our Classic Anniversary account.

I was thinking about the collector edition with the In-game Pets Mini-Diablo, Panda Cub and Zergling
Sadly i cant find my 2005 edition anymore. Would be sick to buy it again also with the DVD included from the making Of vanilla

I am against this idea as it will devaluate the accounts of people that actually bought it back then (and yes, I am one of them). You just need to accept that you can’t have those pets, ever. I also accept that I can’t ever have the stuff that came with the later Collector’s Editions.
Pets, I do not care for, never had them.
I might have been in the wrong, but I took this as Digital Copy = no changes from the CDs edition.
Also if only the old owners of WoW Vanilla could have the pets etc, what then? I would not be against - even if this would mean I’d never get them as this is a “new” account from 2019.
Absolutely not. I still have my 4 CDs of the original release, but only regular edition. I don’t think the collector’s edition should be sullied by being sold digitally to broccoli head zoomers.
You will also see the old Login and Play desktop app, that is insannnnne nostalgia, i almost forget about that

I understand that offering a digital copy of the World of Warcraft Vanilla Collector’s Edition as a retail version might be problematic and likely not a viable option. I also believe it would be unfair and problematic for those who already own the Collector’s Edition. That said, with the launch of WoW’s 20th Anniversary Edition, this would be the perfect opportunity to offer a digital version. Not only would this be a fantastic way to celebrate 20 years of WoW’s success, but it would also provide a chance to relive nostalgia at its finest. Additionally, this would not negatively affect those who already own a physical copy and play the retail version.
