Directx 12 - game capped to 60 fps

using latest AMD driver (2019 edition btw)

Vsync is disabled and the FPScap in-game is set to 120+, both for foreground and background, Chill feature in AMD is disabled (artifical FPS lock) as well anything else that might limit the FPS

FPS will not exceed 60, it is capped at that number +1/-1, it doesn’t drop significantly when dx12 is enabled and it can go up to 200 in dx11

What is strange that FPS lock of 60 is limited to Fullscreen (Windowed), while if I just select Windowed, the FPS lock disappears magically. Also the FPS in Fullscreen (Windowed) will go past the lock if I for example focus a browser window over the game (I can still see the FPS counter with window not maximized)

WIth dx11 the game does not have a FPS lock of any kind regardless of in-game display mode

what is going on and how can I fix this?

Have you checked on your AMD driver that ur screen is on 60hz with freesync? I don’t know much about AMD tho… But check that. If not, might be the driver edition

Same here. I’ve forced vsync off everywhere possible yet still, if I use DX12 api i’d get max framerate of 60 and I can tell that vsync is on since there is no tearing but huge input lag. Is this intentional? Just switching back to DX11 and nothing else makes game go full throttle fps again with no input lag but as i switch back to DX12 it’s vsync on like again.

Tried to update GPU drivers, play with settings in control panel now i did a clean install of drivers and it’s always the same.
