IMO Class tuning is not “content” by any stretch, but merely an ongoing process that some appear to think is done by the same people that do the art and quest designs, which could not be more wrong.
Content is something to do on every class and spec, even ones that didn´t get reworked. And in that respect, FR and SI are arguably more or less comparable… Yes we got the whatever that tower was called on FR… and we have the storms on SI… at the end of the day it´s mostly pointless to essentially nitpick about which has more lines of patchnotes as if that was some reasonable metric for how much content there is.
People dont want to leave a game that they invested 10-20 years of their life into. If WoW came out today, it would tank the same way as all the other mmos (perhaps faster)
I personally haven’t logged in for over a month. I didn’t even bother tryying the island today. I dont want a stupid ring that I have to work at upgrading on a weekly basis.
They are bringing back blunderstorm next patch. No thanks!
I’ve been playing HC classic in the meantime, but now I am half way through that, I am slowly getting tired of that due to how long it takes to lvl.
I think I am just going to go back to single player games for a while.
The ring is poor. Very undertuned. Feels like a wasted equip regardless of being 20 ilvl higher then current ring. Im losing 3k secondary stats from equipping this new ring, and the Damage and heal procc are extremely underwhelming. They literally do nothing.
This ring is far worse then whatever we had the last time around this kind of ring was introduced. Anyone that has this equipped will probably be removed from M+ groups because you know that person lacks basic math skills and critical thinking.
Because most people can´t think past their own performance, that´s why embellishments that buff other players have generally been shunned by tha majority, becaus ethey only care about their own number and not about benefitting the group.
We tested it earlier in a full group, everyone running War queens, Windsingers and Mariners. 5x War Queens procced everyone´s Mariner´s so often that it was ca 15% of the overall healing done.
When you can replace Windsingers with Undersea in a week or 2, the number for damage will probably be similar.
TL;DR: Math is useless when it´s ignored /incomplete and /or just used to pigeonhole something, and “critical thinking” breaks down to a complete farce when it adamantly refuses to look over the edge of one´s own plate.
DF 0.7 patch blows this out of the water. Idk whose idea was to release a ring without ANY dps combinations week 1. It essentially isn’t out for anyone, this was always going to feel bad. Why would you ever release it like this? This is probably the worst patch in the last 2 years, I am not happy at all. You give me gear I can’t use, it just sucks and makes me upset
Personally, that line of reasoning does nothing for me.
First of all, then the patch format is Blizzard’s own invention. I didn’t ask for it. It was Blizzard themselves who chose to split the old 0.5 patch up into two smaller patches so they could release content more frequently.
And secondly, then I don’t care much for a comparison to the way it was years in the past. I expect Blizzard to always get better at making more content. If the company today hasn’t optimized its production cycle in 4 years, then I feel justified in my dissapointment.
The way I approach it, is to simply note that The War Within was released almost 4 months ago, and in those 4 months Blizzard have received a constant flow of revenue from their customers (through subscriptions and microtransactions), yet the DLC they have released in those 4 months has been pretty sub-par and lackluster. I expect more given the time Blizzard have had and the money they have received.
The fact that it is a 0.7 patch does nothing to alleviate my own criticism and disappointment.
What’s nice and easy, there’s no useful gem combination? All this does is make specs who will get the gem combo they need the first, ahead of others. And others have a 650 ring in their inventory they can’t use. Absolutely blows
I can see the reasoning for this. They’ve earned tons of money, so that means the game will get that money put into the game, right? But you have to remember that Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard for almost 70 billion. That number is by any means small. So i can be certain that most of the money they’ve earned recently doesn’t go straight into development of the game. Or at least not only WoW but all of their games. Company wise, they will have to do all they can to earn those billions back and keep the costs to a minimum.
Sure, I understand how the business works and that the money Blizzard earns through WoW doesn’t necessarily go back into WoW, and certainly not 1:1.
But that is still not satisfying to conclude from a customer perspective, because I’m still just left with two sub-par and lackluster DLCs that will ultimately end up covering a span of ~6 months following the expansion release, which is absurd.
That simply doesn’t stand up to how much money I’m paying and how much time has passed.
That is not a satisfying Live Service Game experience.
And yes, I understand that Microsoft has an $80 billion big hole in their pockets that they want filled up, and that Blizzard are tasked with the filling up part. But if Blizzard just passes the monkey onto me – the customer – then it should not come as a surprise that I feel dissatisfied.
