Some people don’t like you. If they want to make a discord so they don’t have to put up with your attempt to monopolise anything associated with you(boy why would anyone ever want to try and get away from communities that tolerate people like Stormbinder) then they will. Your standards of shutting down toxic behaviour are famously lax and you perpetuate toxic attitudes from others with the blatantly transparent cover of ‘banter’ to hide what is essentially just mod sanctioned bullying.
Mobilising your pals to upvote you in threads where you bluster about folks who don’t like you isn’t going to change anything about that, so you could just say live and let live and get over it.
Boiling down why they want to get away from you and your brand of moderating to “they want to be mods” does nothing but to make you seem like a projecting egotist who can’t read between the lines.
Some people don’t like you posting on an alt, Hullbreach, but here we are
Use your main next time
I don’t think you read this thread before commenting - I think one of your few pals must have mentioned it before you jumped in here with this canned response. At least it isn’t one written in the " extremely funny " peon style
This isn’t them mobilised, this is like four guys posting
We’re not there yet, you know?
This is where I knew you were just posting without even taking a minute to familiarise yourself with the thread
I am not a moderator in the first discord and am really not affiliated with the guy who runs it in any sense. In fact, I am not really much of an active chatter in there (outside of yesterday, I guess?)
We’re not banned from discord #2 either (or weren’t before this thread happened - may well be now) - some people joined and maybe even stuck around
The complaint is entirely that this move is based on a guy asking for mod, not getting it and then making a discord where he can be admin instead. You can see that reflected in the chatlogs posted above. It’s also I think pretty weird to advertise your guilds in the OP title of a community discord - it’s basically a cheap recruitment tactic (though I suppose a very needed one)
Damn it’s like Avengers Infinity War/Endgame in here, every character showing up from every corner to do battle in the much anticipated PCU vs Anti-PCU brawl.
Still waiting for the big name entrances like Brigante to really liven things up.
How many infinity posts does Perroy need to collect before he can eliminate half of the forums?
Not a friend of any of the people in the guilds advertised in the thread, but nice job assuming something with absolutely no basis for doing so. Are you sure you’re not projecting?
Just seems like you are associated with at least one of the guilds - someone literally inferred you were associated with one of them earlier in the thread and wasn’t told it wasn’t true. I’ll concede that you have said in the thread that it’s “not a PCU thing” but it certainly seems like more than one of the members in some of the guilds are associated with you and that the prevailing attitude is part and parcel of the PCU stuff that seems to be stifling Horde atm and leaking into sections of Alliance RP.
Why would you be banned? People don’t have to outright ban you to keep a lid on your attitude once you’re there. They dictate the rules of the place to you, and if you break those rules you get banned. No need to pre-emptively ban you, they can just do that if you cause issues.
Weird flex on posting my OOC main’s name and congrats on being able to snoop on people’s alts, doesn’t prove my point about encouraging toxic behaviour at all.
When someone who’s pretty well known for getting backup from his pals on the reg assumes someone who’s replying to a thread is a friend of the OP or someone associated with him/her with absolutely no basis for doing so, I’m going to call that projecting - because that’s what it is.
One of the admins(surprise it’s the guy who begged for mod in discord 1) has a horde/alliance general umbrella community where all PCU members are pre-emptively banned loool
But i think by the tone of your posts you don’t really care.
He’s saying that you don’t care beyond just wanting to bash the evil PCU a bit. He’s even saying ‘you’. Are you so heated that basic reading comprehension is crumbling?
Yes, this is exactly what I’m saying. It has nothing to do with him being associated with half a dozen guilds at least and them all having a similar prevailing attitude towards moderation.
and 1 guy passionately leading many guilds is bad because…?
Sorry my dude but I don’t see how this impacts RP. I can see how it impacts people who are looney and obsessive OOC, but that’s right about where it ends.
