I don’t understand those who think this is a turf war. If the discords want to separately co-exist, then fine. I’ll hold up both hands and admit a stupid mistake escalated this beyond more than way more if it needed to, but at the end of the day, if people are so bothered about another gnome discord existing, there is nothing more I can say or do.

A lot of people on this thread seem to say and share the sentiment of ‘please stop this turfwar of PCU vs Anti-PCU’ which is an ever-existing problem, but the thing is that this secretive behind-the-stage exodus of people from Ryder’s to create their own is the real problem.
I find it strikingly odd that Argent Dawn’s playerbase has turned into one where your guild/community/discord membership means more than your actions. Hell, some people on AD go so far as to literally add “Ignoring PCU” on their TRP which is as bizarre as it gets - I might be wrong but letting OOC bleed into IC interactions is simply juvenile and speaks volumes about those who do that.
People aren’t [morally] black and white and you can’t paint them to be as such no matter how much you try. In this manner I echo Loras’ sentiment.
A lot of people try to make PCU out to be this very angry circle-jerking mob (or as people seem to call it now, clique) but the truth is as always different from the public opinion. Since having joined the Assemblage of Uld I’ve only ever got quality RP and a hefty number of good pals to banter with on the Internet.
Neither is this forum debate about peonposting - I guess if you wanted to toss some harmless jokes in on the Internet, it’s completely within your rights and nobody will argue against that but as mentioned by Quiz in the beginning in retrospective it is a bad call and can raise a couple of odd eyebrows.
No, this is an issue with shady machinations behind the scenes that do not strike people as completely honest and being dishonest is most annoying – if you have an opinion on the matter, you should raise it yourself otherwise noone will do so for you. And what GAC, Archlight and GRS [and Mayto] have basically done is that they decided to share opinions behind the scenes instead of saying it out loud into Ryder’s ear. Furthermore, moderation in it has been ok and Tempercoil’s been punished properly for his shenanigans. That is all there is that I have to say on the matter.

I think when you whisper people lies about a community of over 100 people, they won’t be so friendly to you.
It’s not very complicated really, there’s not so much ganging up as you people claim. There’s just a broad attack on a big community of roleplayers, do you not expect some to want to say their piece and not let you continue painting them as evil and racist.
I do charity work often, even just yesterday afternoon I was helping refugees. I work and help train members of the red cross in Africa. It’s a bit rich to be called racist by some mailman who’s never done anything but for himself.
Edit: But also I’m just one of the more than hundred people that constantly get insulted, there are good people here just like everywhere else.

Considering why the 2nd discord was made (raaaghhhh the pcu isn’t being silenced/exiled and the owner won’t make me mod!!), not really.
Has nothing to do with charity work or anything like that though…just confused as all heck.
It’s an example of good people being in PCU. Easy as that to comprehend.
Edit: that said, yes, the PCU vs. anti-PCU did drift some ways from the OG discussion.
Because when a man goes around calling you and your friends racist, despite being quite the opposite, you’re going to call him out on his lies. And I backed it up with examples of what I do for others in need + I’m not a horrible ogre =]

Ehh life ain’t so simple as that. I’m sure there are some good folk on both sides and get painted with one brush or the other. We don’t need to talk about OOC acts of kindness or whatever is deemed good socially.
Edit: As long as you know who you ar yourself you shouldn’t really give a damn what someone else thinks…if someone accuses you if being a racist I imagine they have their mind made up and won’t be open to change.
