(Discussion) I wish, I wish

Probably because it was easier to slap priests in and then they didn’t need to bother with the cool botany druids. And because the heritage armour is really a cloth set, so they must have as many cloth users as possible!

I’d say it’s pretty similar to Pandaren where it’s quite open to interpretation. I don’t think it would be unreasonable to suggest that Nightborne priests who use the Light draw it from their own zeal

It’d be the Ship of Theseus for if whatever the Nightborne have is actually Elune, assuming her as a remaining deity

Oculeth talks about how he misses the sermons to Elune after spending all that time under the bubble when you visit Falanaar for the 7.0 questline. He says he wishes to see the temple glow with prayer once more.

Lady Ly’leth also gives you one Elunite artifact out of her private collection, saying it’s hard for her to part on what she holds so dearly to her heart, but she thinks you’ve deserved it for all you’ve done for Suramar and her family.

And then there’s also the fact that the Fist of Elisande, the most powerful sentinel the Nightborne ever built, leveled half of Suramar (the poor part of town, not the rich part) when they lost control over it. The Nightborne went on to rebuild the streets, and we see those rebuilt streets still carry moon iconography and moon-themed names.

There’s a lot of evidence to support that Nightborne still revere Elune, or at the very least are sentimental about her to justify the idea that their priests are Elunite just like back in the day. They were after all for the longest time a time-locked remnant of the Empire.

to add my two cents : )

@sanara if you did the nightborne recruitment scenario you see that tyrande just straight up dabs on thalyssra by telling her that elune worries she could be the next azshara which is

  • rude as hell
  • uncalled for lol

not to mention the blood elves simply have more in common with the nightborne

  • their racial leaders gave into the call of the legion (different methods same outcome)
  • they both became addicted to a font of power and both struggled with their people losing their sanity from it (withered and wretched)

:weirdchamp:

See it’d be uncalled for if a couple months later Thalyssra wasn’t siding with Sylvanas after she burned Teldrassil. It feels like that incident should’ve raised more eyebrows around the Horde, really, rather than just Saurfang’s…

It’s like Anduin and his blithering naïveté, it’s not actually a flaw if you turn out to be right all along because the writers are lazy…

I wish sethrak were a playable race. I prefer them to the vulpera, by a minor degree. But I love snakes so…

u realise ‘the writers are lazy’ is in turn a really lazy argument right

if u just freed ur people from a tyrant and the person u look to for aid just says ‘okay but you might be the next hitler’ r u not going to be rly pissed off… thalyssra has not once regretted siding with the horde, nor have any nightborne npcs

it makes sense for tyrande to say that because she’s so ridiculously devoted to elune, and it makes sense for thalyssra to be pissed off by it

arrogance isn’t the best choice in a civil argument

I’m talking about Anduin. Anduin’s naïve belief that everything will work out if you just say “peace” often enough somehow proves right because the writers said so.

Is it just me or is it getting CRAZIER out there???

Apparently it’s that time of year where the circus is in town

Rok’han coming to town to marry Talanji

Honestly bros I wish the story for Horde with Vol’jin would have been Thrall & Rok’han going out on a homeboy trip around Zandalar him complaining how he hates his wife & family life in Draenor and how he feels he failed the Horde and Vol’jin being his spirutial wingman as he goes onto re-conquer the heart of Jaina.

Ho-ha-he-ha-hi

Or Thrall and Rokhan go on a quest to spread his ashes from the tallest peak of Zandalar.

Only to come along Rexxar during their travels and realize that they should together make the pilgrimage to Pandaria to spread his ashes there where his step to the role of a Warchief begun.

They ten meet up with Chen Stormstout and after having a lads night out with thrall getting some obnoxious tattoo permanently over his face and Rok’han finding himself having married to Talanji while Rexxar’s been taken captive by the Alliance in Kul-Tiras and the lads go out to save their friend.

Also they forgot to spread the ashes but Vol’jin materializes and tells them he’s had so much fun throughout the trip it doesn’t matter.

The main takeaway is that friendship conquers all and it’s the trip that matters

Rip Cairne. :sob:

Man, remember the days when Baine was just a wimpy little calf who had to be rescued from the mean ol’ monsters and returned to his daddy in the quest save the Horde? How things change!

… oh.

There’s also that there’s no chance that the Alliance would recruit the Nightborne. If Tyrande had even mentioned it, Anduin would be involved and really push for it.

So that’s even more reason to join the Horde.

All Hail Emperor Rokhan! All Hail the Troll Empire! Justice for Vol’dun!

I’m actually really, really curious about that to! And if they do worship Elune; how do they view Tyrande as the chosen High-Priestess? Would they install a puppet High-Priest(ess) like Queen Azshara did? And would that one be in contact with Elune aswell; since Elune choses her own High-Priestess, after all! D:

I like Tyrande :< And its sad that they wrote themselves in a corner with her and now probably have to get rid of her ;-;

Yea! Without building up proper replacement Horde Side. Dranosh Saurfang should’ve stayed alive and Varok or anyone else should’ve been offed at the Wrathgate, ROkhan should’ve been way more prominent before, during and after Legion, etc etc. The yshould really stop killing off Horde heroes without replacement… Horde got leaderless races in the same amount as Alliance got homeless races D:

Now I would hate to see Malfurion go, as he’s literally the last Stormrage… But yea, would’ve been cool. And whats with Blizzard offing off complete familylines for the Rule of Cool? Saurfang, Hellscream, Stormrage probably(They don’t get to make Tyrande evil without offing Malfurion to)

Night Elves as a whole used to worship a pantheon Gods (metallic beings, natural-beings), with Elune above them all, perhaps the Nightborne continued this trend? Which would still make them belief in Elune as their main deity…

Who says she’s ‘chosen’? Tyrande? You can’t trust her she’s a little biased…

She even went a step towards letting the mask drop by actively stealing Elune’s power for the Night Warrior thing which is pretty effing whack yo.
