Hourglass? So long as all their organs fall to the other end if you flip them upside down, it’s ok I guess.
Am I the only one who thinks describing one’s body as “Hourglass” to flash a horrific image in my head?
I prefer curvy or even voluptuous it least my brain understands that there’s some meat… Hourglass just sounds like anorexia to me.
It’s an attempt by the female character’s player to score all the attractive traits (big chest, big rear, small waist) at once.
But the thing is, those who have the former two usually do not have the latter, and vice versa. It is actually pretty rare and unlikely, because one side is supported by more fat and the other by less fat.
Which makes it all the weirder that it is so common in RP.
Aye… I’m still waiti’g of people saying they have a proportionate female body.
I’m all for attractive females but gosh choose… You wanna be a super model or a powerhouse capable of cleaving a Naga Brute? Can’t have both…
There are other words out there to describe the body type, but as mentioned above, people are lazy.
Chieun, I guess? Right now at least. She is recovering and rebuilding her strength for future battles, but right now she is pretty close to the pandaren average, I imagine (and I imagine that she is not that far from it even when she reaches her desired level of beef).
Oh I already know. I’ve ye- nevermind I did saw Pandaren displaying their body type as close to humans… In general 90% of Pandaren I’ve met understand how muscle mass works.
Same goes for Dwarves, Tauren and Worgen who don’t shy away from being stout and strong on the lady side.
That’s not to say that the other extreme side is inexistant because overly muscular to the poing of making it seem like you’ve been taking roids your whole life is just as off putting as those too attractive for their line of work… I just see it less compared to the latter.
To be fair, a game with barely any customization makes it hard to describe ones looks and shapes.
Eh, maybe not hard, but still, I just wish the game had more than 3 customization options for characters.
Your post is a joke but it’s also pretty decent advice…
If this were true, I’d imagine all characters in books as amorphous blobs. Fact is that some people simply lack the capacity to describe their character in any characterful way.
RIP him.
How about you get out of that jabrony outfit? We can settle it right here in the ring.
I am gonna say it. I AM SO CLOSE TO SAYING IT. HERE I COME:
the reason why we have that is because the players behind the screen are lacking that (you know, like an actual human being is not a perfect 3D model) IRL and they want to be desireable. So how do you achieve that?
By either playing a blood elf / void elf who already got the lore established beauty OR by just rolling a pretty race like a human and put huge amounts of pretty descriptions and desireable traits into it.
The big issue comes in when the player behind the screen is too shy to approach and then has this greatly detailed description of its beauty but can’t do anything without it because the IRL confidence is still lacking. Thus no approach happens of other characters and they just sit on their description but don’t do anything with it. A similar problem exists IRL where you have the prettiest people being the most boring that can’t hold a decent conversation.
This goes for both male and female players.
On that note: having a description of how pretty your character is won’t make him or her more interesting. It’s the personality what should draw and not their beauty.
Otherwise: they are just too lazy and hourglass describes the ingame model pretty well so eh, what ever man.
You know what your next thread should be? Why there are so many people roleplaying lesbians. Take a walk in SW or where ever at this point. Tell me how many lesbian characters you will encounter.
I’ll admit I do, at times, find it quite tiring when it feels like every female character fits expectations of conventional beauty.
Though I have to say I don’t think having an outwardly ‘perfect’ female character is necessarily bad, but I do think it will depend upon the character’s background. A near-immortal Highborne with access to wealth is obviously more likely to be more ‘beautiful’ than a lower-class farmer girl from Westfall. Like anything, a character’s appearance is a means of communicating what kind of character they are, but when all characters, regardless of class and background, are indiscriminately as ‘beautiful’ as each other then that’s when the whole phenomena becomes ridiculous.
Obviously can’t control how people write their characters, but it’s stuff to think about, nonetheless.
My character wouldn’t touch any of them without strapping a mirror to their faces first. Because not a form is as perfect as Goldglance’s beautiful body and curly, lengthy strands of god-blessed hair.
Suck this, inferior beings.
I make sure none of my characters are above average. I had a chubby bearded lady dwarf for Loa’s sake!
My opinion is people need to stop panicking that if they don’t have a pretty female character they won’t get attention in roleplay.
By Talanji’s neck, Zul’jin’s arm and Griftah’s nose!!
The Tribes must be gathered and hear of this mon and his relationship!
Oh God, Nelox what have you done…the left will tear you apart.
No worries, they cant get past my gender assuming ward.
Remember to use facts and logic.
I’ve got a good looking female alt but that’s cause I like having variety. But damn I don’t use ‘hourglass’ or ‘perfect’ or any of that crap. Just… yea. I’m guilty of having one?
I do tire of seeing these 23748294792 beautiful women though i will admit. Dunno why though. I just find it boring to look at.
NELOX COME OUT FROM YOUR HIDING
THE BLOOD OF YOUR PEOPLE CALLS FOR JUSTICE

They are either trying attract erp or are too vain to accept imperfections in an avatar. Quite tragic
