Discussion: Villain RP

It absorbs… the pvp talent is another spell entirely

The spell “anti magic shell” doesn’t reflect spells and isn’t a PVP talent

Have you ever played a death knight before? You’re thinking of Dark Simulacrum - which doesn’t even reflect spells either

Oh, ok then. Must have confused something.

Obviously, though I do recall a pvp talent that gave it a % of redirecting the damage that was absorbed or something along those lines. Might be wrong memory though.

Yeah, like the age old saying goes “work smarter, not harder.” Just because your character doesn’t have a chance to kill X by brute force doesn’t mean it’s an inherently bad thing.

Roleplay is a narrative, not a competition.

Yeah I don’t know why you responded with the snarkposting instead of entertaining the idea that someone might know what their character’s buttons do

Which is why you’d want to avoid killing people in the first place, kills all the future narrative

Paladins have something like that…

Avenger’s shield? Love that spell. It absorbs damage, and when it runs out of time/takes all damage it could, it deals the damage absorbed (or a variation of it) as AoE. It’s for Retribution Paladins.

That’s Shield of Vengeance.
Avenger’s shield is the prot paladin AoE with silence on main target.

Oh damn i miss the old one… throwing people to death with a holy frisbee.

Oh yeah… I mixed those, right right… I like both of them actually.

What do you mean?

you mispelled right as prick.

Nah, he’s just a prick. And pretty wrong, too.

I might be more inclined to make villainous characters if it was easier to get a decent transmog together and get a character to a high enough level to not be utterly destroyed by mobs.

Villains exist to be defeated (at least in WoW), and if I have to put a load of energy to create an Eredar that will only survive until the end of a story, it’s really not worth the effort.

There’s an easy enough fix for that. Just don’t make your IC and OOC name the same, and whenever your character dies, just make a new TRP with a different IC character.

And don’t play a void elf.

What if I enjoy playing a void elf? :frowning:

Then stop enjoying it.

have henchmen change their name to a number when they enter situation where they might die

if they survive it was them if they die it was a nameless mook
