I doubt it was ever intended by game designers that all those buffs became a de facto raid requirement, it is more that players in the current min/max environment created that requirement. DMT and Songflower most likely were designed to be a nice bonus when you did a DMT run or a little help you while you quest in Felwood. I played Vanilla, the only world buff we cared about back then was Onyxia/Nef.
So the community decided to spend more time gathering all kind of world buffs than the actual raids need just to complain that all raids are way too easy afterwards :).
So does the title mean you can mind control people out of the windows near to the entrance to BWL into the lava?
Can you also use other pushback effects as well?
Am I the only finding it hilarious the lengths people go to get buffs and buy consumables for trivially easy raids that can all be cleared under a couple of hours?

its not like your subscription is getting dispelled. the time you get these buffs is more than it actually takes you to clear a raid. wow you do your 30min bwl speedrun and get mad over getting dispelled. I think its good you get mad if it happens maybe you think about how worth it is getting all this nonsense for just one raid id everytime

Iām sure plenty find it amusing. My guild does our best to get buffs and consumables so that we can clear the content asap, trying to push your character to their limit is actually more fun than just casually doing a 2 hour BWL run.
Songflower dispelling is irrelevant. The flower respawns quickly and thereās plenty around the world. Losing my Dire Maul buffs makes me sad though.
The sad thing is that people go to further lengths to dispell peopleās buffs than people go to actually get them. Iāve seen people camped at the songflower for 4 hours straight on Firemaw.

I just want to point out one thing.
You canāt actually dispel world buffs. You can only dispel buffs from a dungeon and a flower 
this ādispellingā is the same thing such as people camping low levels. It creates a nice faction war because said low levels will ask for help. You might aswell ask some horde on your server to camp the dispel guys. Its warcraft afterall.

Just to chime in on thisā¦
People donāt always get the buffs just to cheese trivial raids. Some of us have to PuG these raids and you are judged nowadays on how you parse. The buffs are an essential part of this unfortunately.
Its not PvP, you are not fighting the player, you are essentially dispelling a buff from the environment before dying. Thatās PvE. If you ganked the players to get rid of all their buffs then that would be PvP.
Itās the lowest form of play imaginable. It takes no skill in the slightest and the player doing it usually does it because they lack skill and canāt do anything else.
The time commitment is worrying. I had a dwarf priest on our realm confirm on the forums that he was in Felwood dispelling for 14 hours!! If I found out a friend or my child was doing something like that for 14 hours iād be really worried about their mental state.
Itās part of the game and tbh most people donāt give it any thought now. I just either get songflower early or skip it. Or if iām bored I hunt down the inevitable stealthed night elf priests around those areas.
