Lasher farm has been heavily nerfed, they drop little to no loot. Back to Mara we go.
And no private servers didn’t get it wrong. There’s video evidence from Vanilla DM and it’s pretty obvious that big B nerfed it to keep the economy healthy.

If that is true, it could be a good thing. Massive instanced solo farming is not healthy for the game at all.

This was absolutely nerfed in Vanilla WoW, I can remember when this farm was first found and subsequently nerfed shortly after.
Private servers might not have got it wrong if they based it from an earlier patch but we’re on patch 1.13 meaning the nerfs are already live. The changes made in Vanilla were exactly as you state, to protect the gold economy and nerf the lasher EXP farm there.

I’m back for Classic after not even considering WoW since early Cata, but Vanilla is not this state of perfection that cannot be improved.

The dogs in DM north are also not soloable. They run through your blizzard and when you jump down you cannot get any of em in another blizzard.

I remember hearing it from vaulty i think how blizzard removed it and then a lot of players unsubscriped from blizzard in rage. Good let the hatred flow through you. As that was good as in my opinion blizzard should had checked it out more and should had learned from it instead of being the fun police.
Blizzard being the fun police? If anything they’re at fault of letting the power/gold/ilvl treadmill go unchecked.

I did it too, not best strat yet, but ice block, with double shield before hand and jump of with frost nova.

aight I tried and I got nuked down hard even with 2 shields after ice block
U have to time when to get out ice when most of them just attacked
Can also confirm, Lasher loot is nerfed and the aggro range is increased on Big Trees

can confirm aswell that the drops have been nerfed, but not only that, the XP from the lashers has been nerfed significantly aswell.
each lasher gave me 43xp each kill when i was attempting to farm it together with a resto druid (resto druid + prot pala) so that would mean if i were to be able to solo it it would only give me around 86 xp each kill.
even the mobs in maraudon (worms and turtles) give more xp when im farming that duo.
