You can feel free to scroll down yourself and actually look at the posts US gets vs EU.
Especially the “FEEDBACK:” topics. Not only were the EU feedback topics created days after the US ones, they are seeing fewer (in most cases none at all) blue posts.

Also why does there need to be more examples? Covenants are a major topic, being able to vote on that poll was important. EU was specifically left out and ignored.

The most recent post on MMO-C right now is a US feedback thread for Runecarving. EU doesn’t even have that thread option.
US even has forum categories that EU doesn’t have.

I’ve been on these forums for years, I made a US forum about 2 months ago, and I already feel like US gets way more attention.

But i worked with devs in the past and if i have issue X, reported through the “chain of command” in the office ended up on their table as issue Y because at each step, people read and then wrote out what they interpreted was the issue. It’s the human nature in communication, personal perception alters the message. Always.

I had to jump to that conclusion, unfortunately.
I have lost all hope about our french realms situation…which I won’t even bother explaining here, that’s not the place.
But I kind of envy you guys, at least they can read english… People from the Blue Team actually have more than two sentences to share with you, it feels warmer here, there’s no denying about that.

But I understand, alas, how difficult it is to actually “talk” to people on forums…having read some insane messages. I do get that you’re not thrilled to come and have fun with all of us, more often.

It’s about the same.
The only difference is in the Alpha updates. But as said earlier, that just consists of a developer making a heads-up about upcoming changes in a new build. They’re more a patch note preview than a response to ongoing topic discussions.
And besides, when those posts are made on the US forums, they’re avaliable for everyone else to see as well. It’s not like the US gets a prize because Sigma chooses to make the post concerning upcoming Druid class changes in the next Alpha build on their forum. You can read it too, even if you’re from the EU.

And outside of Alpha testing, the Community Management interaction is really at such a low volume that the difference between the EU and US is neglible. They get a poll, we get a post here. It’s an insignificant difference.

The poll wasn’t made to gather data. It was made for community engagement puposes; to spark discussion and hype about the upcoming expansion and one of its major features.
We’re not missing out. Besides, if it mattes so much, then MMO-Champion has plenty of polls on its forums - go there.

That’s not necessarily better. A more fractured forum community is not always desirable, because you get less perspectives on topics as people make a habit out of posting on some sub-forums but not others.
I’d personally advocate for as few sub-forums as possible. I think that’s better for the discussions and for the community engagement.

The alpha is the most important information players are looking for right now.

I get where you’re coming from and totally appreciate the feelings that you’ve expressed here Retributor

Anything the developers say is picked over with a fine tooth comb. One wrong word and suddenly something a dev said was “considered” can end up all over the internet as “confirmed by Blizzard next patch!” even if that’s not what they said at all. One poorly worded joke made in good faith can provoke a backlash that becomes a meme for years. Even the simplest response can take a lot of time to get right, especially when it’s not the author’s expertise. Posting can take even longer if the information needs to be approved for release and translated to other languages. While you and I are not developers, imagine how daunting, and scary, it could be to make even a casual interaction when your voice might carry so far and have implications not only for yourself, but the fans, and colleagues throughout the company.

So there’s risk of causing the wrong kind of storm, and there’s time. Time, that they’re spending fully into making and improving the game. There’s also something I’ve mentioned before. Any member of staff commenting on feedback instantly makes that idea “about the blue” and can detract from the OP’s feeling or message. The thread may get flooded with people who want to join in, or who click on through from one of the various blue trackers, but actually don’t care about the size of an orcs ears (or whatever the suggestion was) vastly skewing what the real community sentiment is on a subject. It’s often better to let a community discussion play out, and observe, to gain a more accurate perspective.

So does that mean your voice isn’t heard? No, not at all. Even if they may not post often, the developers can read the forums. In addition, various roles make lots of reports of what’s being said here and other places, as well as a large number of other activities and avenues that all play their part to convey the pulse of the playerbase and ensure you’re listened to.

Now, I can’t speak for the devs, but I do know that from all the interactions I’ve had with them, they care. The care a heck of a lot about the game and you, our amazing fans. Truly.

I hope this at least provides a little insight and helps put your mind to rest a little.

They don’t have to confer any opinions just make it known they do read eu feedback, not “can read”

You didn’t really answer the question but skirted around it - but then why would you? The answer isn’t going to be a good one and certainly not well received.

Devs have limited time - which I appreciate by the way - and they’ve decided to go with native forums (which makes sense to some degree).

The main forums are in English anyway in Europe, because well, you need to pick ONE main language for general discussion otherwise most people in Europe would be left out.

There are various issues, slight differences between the two including things like different reset days, moderation would be on US times only, including things like Tech and CS forums.
