High Elves was the single most obvious allied race they could add and have been featured in the alliance every expansion.
Void Elves were blood elves that got booted from silvermoon.
To be honest :
They should make a race called âelvesâ and group up all other elves as customizations.
And I will go further yet :
They should do the same with trolls, tauren, orcs, humans, and any other race that has duplicates.
Because at this point it makes no sense to have 30 races which are all slight re-skins of existing 5. Its ridiculous.

This âwe, ourâ thing. You do realize youâre not an elf and youâre playing a video game, right?
Then you pick each subfaction like your picking covenants and get the corresponding racials. That way you donât dilute your chosen raceâs fantasy.
i.e. you donât get the weird purple effects if you want to play a regular high elf on Alliance but instead get something else.
Nivmie is gonna learn the concept of roleplay

man, be happy that they even considered giving you an alliance elf in the first place. not only that but you could barber yourself to look like a blood elf and to change your eye colour to high elves.

Yes because high elves would have just been a copy of an existing race with a different eye color. Blizzard always choses unique things first.
