If they get enough revenue from mounts, they won’t have a reason to find another source of income.
These mounts could be free and purchased ingame. I am not against a subscription but the fact that an ingame store has taken place, it just goes to show how desperate they are for money.
If they were a succesfull game company there whouldin’t be a store you purchase with real money.
As long as the shop continues to sell cosmetic items only then it is literally nobody elses concern wether anybody buys the things they sell.
In other words it dont affect you so mind your bidness!!

4 mounts for a 12 month sub? Saving more than 20 euro in the long run for wow sub. Seems like a good deal to me when i know i will stay subbed for long. Also you actually get 5 mounts i think because there is usually always a new store mount around July and 6month sub owners usally get that as part of the long sub deal. So 5 mounts that they likely will take 25 euro for on the store 5x25 = 125 euro. The 12 month sub cost 132 euro. So yes this is a very good deal for longtime WoW players.

As i said in my post, by purchasing from the store it increases the likelihood of blizzard adding a feature that affect gameplay.
I agree with the idea that it’s your choice to buy whatever you want. But aren’t they already selling boosts in classic(limited) and retail + tokens for retail? At that point they’re arguably already selling more than cosmetics, no?
No big deal they add like what 5 items each year to the store? WoW has way less micro transactions compared to other MMO’s on the market.

I dont think anybody on this thread has supported the idea of P2W items on the store.
In fact I think you find the majority of players are vehemently againest this idea…
which is why the Blizz store only sells cosemetics.

But some things you should consider, if you had a successfull company and you could earn more on store sales? Would you then rather add them to your game for free rather than earning alot by selling them? Also i think many also prefer mounts and not to endless grind farm them.
And i dont think you can argue that then it will attract more players, because i could also argue the opposite.

I don’t mind cosmetic in-game store as long as you can get all that stuff from the game aswell. From solo or group options. Just put graphical indicator in-game for those who used the shop for that item that can never be removed or hidden. 
You’re a bit late. People buy tokens and then go ingame and well, have you seen the trade chat and what’s being sold there?
Maybe I misunderstood when I read it. I’m only seeing this now because for some reason when I use the forum from a different IP address it has one of my other chars in the top right and can’t change it back.

It is easy. To calculate if is worth it and predict the future look at the past first. How many months have you been subscribed without canceling it? If you have canceled your account in the last 6 months more than one month there are chances you will repeat it in the next 6 months, so in that case, it shouldn’t be a good choice to subscribe to 6 months. But if you have been subscribed for double what you will subscribe then there are good chances you won’t cancel your account in the next 6 months so choosing any subscription below the 6-month one then you will waste your money.
Even if you have not played enough months to justify a 6-month subscription maybe you have expended enough months with a subscription to assume it will be safe to subscribe for 3-month and still save money. People talk too much about 1-month and 6-month subscriptions but forgot there is a 3-month one.
In my case, I have been subscribed uninterruptedly since mid-legion in 2018 so any subscription below the 6-month is clearly a waste of money and a 12-month one is still safe because I have been uninterruptedly subscribed for more than 4 years, so a 5th-year is a safe bet.
Look at what you did in the past to predict what could you do in the future.
My word yes it is indeed a shock that a company that exists to make money has a shop which allows people to spend money thus increasing profits. It is not play to win - buying mounts is hardly winning especially when the mounts are really not all that great in the first place.
People can and will spend their disposable income how they wish to - until they get their bills.
