except DH and rogue ive all the classes to 60. pally, hunter and lock 2.
I have 3 main but since i dont run dungieon i guess is mooooooooooooooore simple.
I played a few classes but i got tired as well.Main reason was that Vault farm weekly for all of them. The good thing that came out of it ,it was that i know a few things about these classes so i can tell if a warrior is using Ignore Pain or not when tanking(example that happened a couple weeks ago).
Lately i play Main and max two more or just one alt.
I do have alts and i log on them from time to time, but i am mainly on my main for the cap level stuff.
I have 40 alts. But has stopped leveling them in SL. All the systems and the zones just turn it off for me.
Iâm a one character sort of person. I do have a couple of characters though other than my Warrior.
I have a level 50something Undead hunter which was my first character. Looking around online it seems that Hunter is thought to be the most ânew player friendlyâ class but I found it to be utterly boring.
I also have a Night Elf hunter that I used my pre order boost on. This character exists purely to farm mail transmog items for the upcoming Evoker.
Finally I have 3 characters that are just used a name reservations.
In previous expansions I tended to have maybe 6 to 8 I would play on and gear up, in SL I only really played on 1 because SL really did feel so alt unfriendly and it was just to much un fun to play alts.
This season, I only played my druid for the first few months to focus on gearing him up for my heroic Jailor kill. After achieving that, I took a short break and then started playing some alts.
I have tons of alts at max level. The only classes I donât have at max level are warlock, mage, and DK.
I usually like playing some casual M+ keys with my alts, but borrowed power is always a huge annoyance. Even though legendaries are quite affordable now, needing to grind the Soul Ash, Soul Cinders, and Cosmic Flux on each alt just to an acceptable power level is annoying. Oh, having a full tier set is also expected these days, so I also need to grind LFR and/or Cosmic Flux for that.
I guess itâs not as bad as in previous patches, but itâs still annoying.
I focus on like 3-4 character tho I have like 10 times that in alt created over the years
I pretty much have a Horde and Alliance main and the rest are all alts that never stay.
I love making alts but totally burnt out now. It would be great if we got the new talent system and chromie time up to 60, then Iâd level one of each class in preparation for Dragonflight.
I have 22 50+ chars⌠but all but 4 live at Oondasta , their only purpose is killing that dino until the mount drops, and to then move to Sha
I focus on one main.
And then if the leveling content is fun, Iâll casually level one or more alts if I feel like it.
In Shadowlands I leveled only 1 alt to max level. So yeah, that says enough about the content.
This will always be my main. But i got tons of alts. Purely because I want the 8th bankslot in my 2 person guild and hubby refuses to play more than one character.
I only lvl them and leave them to rot or use them when i farm mounts.
Tindomiriel will always be my main and the only one i will actually focus on
lots of alts but i rather get focused on one char only, my warloick but the class is in the dumpster
There is not enough content to keep you on just one character anymore.
Iâve found that i have to play others just to keep my interest in the game and that isnât saying much because the only real difference is no longer in regards to classes or factions it was only in the covenants. The problem with the covenant story was again it was too short, no depth to the lore just dribs and drabs and worst of all it was gated which made it even more boring. I had to go and re-read the story every update because it was such a long gap between patches iâd forgot half the time what was going off lol.
I would much rather play a main as i used too up to wrath from vanilla but boredom with the story and game mechanics made me play alts.
I play 3-4 alts this expansion
Not because its not alt friendly, just that the borrowed powers are so boring, im the type that like borrowed powers but its really annoying having them tied to callings & such, in bfa the azerite armor allowed for plenty of different builds ( if u werent a minmaxer that is ) to play around with, in shadowlands its pretty much ââdoes [insert class here] have fun legendary?ââ that makes me decide if i play that char or not
atm i play Druid, Priest, Dk & Warrior, rarely dps, mostly tank & heal
I have 50 chars, most of them level 50 and not used during Shadowlands. I play 12 chars end-game (mythic plus, 10 + to 17). And 3 or 4 chars occasionally.
I seriously make one alt per day lol. The biggest problem is that I get bored, my main NE rouge is the only one whom I blasted to cap without hesitating but with every other char I always find myself in this limbo level where I just donât care anymore. Although unlocked KT today and Iâm soo excited for my beautiful shaman/mage (canât decide:-))) girl starting her journey tomorrow!
I have 6 toons.
I have 3 favourites, or mains. These are the characters I tend to play most and make sure that I max out each week. They have all the best Transmogs as well.
I then have 3 alts which I play when I have extra time.
I then have several other toons which I havenât had time during Shadowlands to level up due to all the forced content stopping me from enjoying my alts. Also, levelling 50-60 in Shadowlands is really boring compared to how BFA was.
Then I have multiple banking alts. Each one has a story of its own, so to speak. Each time I take a break from the game, I make a new one when I come back. I probably spend more time each day on my main banker than I do on any other character.
I do play multiple characters at once (Iâm coming up to the 50 char cap), but thatâs mostly because Iâm by no means a serious player, and I tend to use them for specific purposes or a change of pace. Levelling and playing alts is part of my WoW experience for me, and with the return of tier sets in 9.2 I had a reason to gear multiple. But, under usual circumstances I do most of current content across two, SOMETIMES three characters, and those tend to be the only ones I gear seriously. The rest will sit about mid-geared for most of an expansion, assuming I level them at all (This expansion, lots are still 50 because I donât enjoy SL levelling much).
The easiest way to play multiple characters is to just have a specific purpose or goal in mind for each one, for example a lot of mine are parked outside old raids, are for certain professions or are specifically for pvp. Otherwise you can overwhelm yourself quickly.
I love my alts
Got a level 60 for each class now and got some more in the wings for different specs. Yes I use a whole another character for a different spec, Iâm sure Iâm not alone but still, pls donât judge
Love trying out new rotations and then taking alts into Mythic+ or some raid maybe if I can.
