Do you invite people without achi to raids?

Wotlk is ish 480 hours old, how is that far into it? Jesus christ.

Yeah why did they nerf those abilities ?
Every boss is a cakewalk now compared to wotlk vanilla, and everytime i see someone post in trade “lf dps naxx 25, minimum GS 3800 and ach” i just think they are noobs and wont join them so they can get easy gear. Noob leaders that dont even know how to raidlead

It’s wow in a nutshell, set requirements that even you cannot fulfill and let the others carry you

Isn’t that because of the gatekeeping?
I don’t even think about trying to join raids.
I managed to gatekeep myself off of heroics in BC. I had other options and it was for about two weeks anyway, but I just as well could have done a few / more.

Lol. You do realize GDKP exists and a cleared raid achievement is equal to 0 right?

So inviting geared and proper players to guaratee quick & Smooth run without any wasted time is somehow considered ”bad” by some people?

The first few weeks are the most important.

After this many weeks you are expected ( By most guild & PuG leaders) to be pre-raid BiS and at least done the raids one time each.

Imagine thinking you need an achiev to do this content. Hilarious.

To which Blizz wants to protect and nerture

It apparently is, but my main point is, reading and experiencing all these messages (quick run, t6, and now gs, achi) is effectively a deterrent from even trying content.

I’ve been bossing battlegrounds as healer in quest greens, so I definitely could attempt, but I’m deterred. Which you could say is a sign of mental weakness  or unwillingness.

If everybody forms their own group, you have so many one man raids. Even as a tank it gets funny when the dungeon queue gets dry. Yes, it does!

It’s very similar to classes in society. You can climb them, if you work twice as hard. Or you can accept that you’re just a peon and do your things and be happy that you have bread and butter on the table.

(But but but, leveling is a fair game! Yes, but I don’t enjoy overcrowded.)

So I accept that I’ll be a solo player, leveling 9 characters casually, seeing a variety of (soloable) content, and once my sub expires, I’ll have most of it done, and can say that it was fun. I have some people on my friend list doing the same thing. Part of the deal is that I can’t commit to a schedule (even what I thought viable just went to the trash with some family medical issues).

But I did queue LFR and had plenty of fun over the years, and doing well enough. So if I could nicely pug, it would also be a motivation to change the above and have some focus. Holy priest, resto druid, surv hunter certainly viable without excessive preparation.

I always disliked the achievement feature, just felt like it was a gimmick to get people more invested in the game (ie purely for the companies benefit) rather than made for players. Helps keep the subs up if players feel they have achieved something in game, but the behavior it promotes and time sinks it always seemed to me more beneficial for blizz’s monetary achivement.

Super Mario didnt need to hire psychologist and behavioural scientists to make his games fun for people to play, what a world we live in, nothings innocent anymore! Trust no one!

Its like when sheldon gives penny chocolates for behaving, penny thinks she’s winning but its really sheldon

Well yeah, that is the obvious intent of any achievement system.

On the flipside it does make you play the game in different ways (sometimes) so it does benefit the players as well.

Just join the guild that invites who ever no matter gear to raids then?

I see plenty of those on mirage raceway.

It’s just pugs that have requirement

Inviting and demanding is different, you’d decline lower geared pple because it threatens your smooth run (dunno how considering how brain dead easy raids are atm). The issue with this achieve/gs x amount required is that it gatekeeps pple who havent met that requirement one way or another but can full well do the raid

It’s considered bad by bad people. Those are the majority of the people crying about the requirements people ask to join their groups.
I guess they haven’t realized yet joining a group is optional, so is making your own group, and joining a guild.

Achievements can be forged with addons and people don’t bother to check them properly :smirk:

Some groups clear full naxx 25 in like 3hrs.

Some groups have 6 bosses left after 3hrs.

I rather be in the clear fast group.

But that does not stop the lower geared from joining the clear slow group.

Same when I want to make a group i don’t discriminate , i also don’t give a damn about past achievement and title just because you farmed some chain quests in classic or tbc means nothing to me.

This is now and wrath of the lich king and only your current prestation in the raid/dungeon/bg/arena matter.

Yes i do. I explain the bosses if it is a PuG (unless i forget but then a wipe is on me). Having achivement dont say if you know the raid or not, just that you have been to it.

Good question. It was easy as balls in Wrath originally, and it’s still easy despite the buff attemping to slow people down and challenge them. I guess players are much more knowledgeable at the game today, especially with all the min-maxing that happens and addons that are available.

Content gets boring when it’s just an extremely easy loot piñata, though.
