Best combat of any MMO, too bad it’s the only good thing about it
Well I just play wow classic and Aion as far as mmo game goes, i also play cards games but none of the Blizzard one and fighting games both alone and oniine( it keeps the mind and the fingers young) many other steam gems different games, adveture, rpg , survoval horror, etc… I will only tell to a friends.
I like the aesthethics of Aion the zone , character design and class, dredgions, abyss pvp hunting high ranking oppenent officer and beat him in a 1 on 1 and see him/her being retrograded and losing massive amounts of abyss points and his/her name being told to both factions in chat as being defeated, i also like the rvr, pvp especially in the abyss and when at some hours of some days some rift are open to the oppenents world going there doing my pvp, pve, class quests elite quests and there dungeons farming mats only available there etc… without my kisk(ressurect point being found and destroyed) and pve aspect of it some of those instances in Aion would literally drives average wow player crazy on how difficult and how geared the group need to be, besides the story is much better than in wow.
i played New World preview beta.
i think you would enjoy it very much. it almost checks every box in your list and more. (it doesnt have arena, at the moment)
right now they are working on improving it and apparently its alot better than what it was, and i already loved it before.
and little bit info on it:
Elder scrolls is A decent subtitute for wow.
Actualy enjoying that game.
Same here i support this so much.
Played some other mmo’s and didn’t like the end game , tried 3 other , my friends tried ffxiv and came back to wow .
Guess wow fills some things in some areas .
Ty man!
Rly aprecciate u stole ur time to link this!
Have fun and gluck!
I’ve played everything.
I play wow because of nostalgia good memories and because I play with friends. I would never play alone wow.
I would go back to eso in a heartbeat if I wasn’t so burned out from it. I jump on ffxiv everyone and then.
I wait for new world and ashes of creation
It’s a habit for me. One-two months I play. Then I take a break, 2-3-4 months, then I get curious about what’s been happening and activate my sub. I’ve been doing this for a while.
I play a wide WIDE variety of MMO’s and honestly WoW only has the place it does because it was the first one I was introduced to.
WoW is far from perfect and honestly most MMO’s offer a lot that WoW doesn’t like Housing/more indepth crafting systems and many more but it does have the nostalgia of my youth and a lot of my First experiences of the MMO world were had here so regardless of what dire state the game is in i’ll still enjoy some aspect just from that reason alone.
Elder scrolls online is a very cool alternative to WoW that I probably would be playing if I had a better computer. However, just like WoW balancing, bug fixes etc. take a long time in ESO, probably even longer than in WoW.
Otherwise it is a very cool game that I will most likely jump back into at some point
Mate I think it is time for a break then. Just unsub and stop the game for 2 weeks as soon as your subscription runs out and see how you feel after that.
Yep, I think that your reasons to play Classic or any other game are really unhealthy tbh.
An entertainment product, should be played for fun. We do all kinds of sacrifices and compromises in real life, for different reasons … that we should not do in places like games that should offer FUN.
Everythig else that doesnt have 3 players is just som weeb-sh!t.
Once i would have been a faithful wow player. But im ready to jump ship asap if a better game rolls around. MMORPG market is stale and WOW is too grandfathered in.
Rip DayZ. Worst development in the history of gaming for a game that had so much potential. Bohemia ruined their chance big.
I play it only because it is the only game with active Goldshire inn.
I mostly switch between WoW and FFXIV nowadays but i also play ESO from time to time if both games are in a lull.
I feel the same, about WoW being mainly a PvE MMO. To bad. It had so many world PvP potential. And I am not sure if I should blame Blizzard, or the players.
@Blizz, I hope this thread was eye-opening for you.
Just copy WoW vanilla into Unreal engine 4 or another fancy physics engine and start from there, I’d play it.
I think to truly understand how to make a WoW killer you must delve deep into how WoW managed to rise above the other popular mmorpg’s at the time

-fluidity of spells and chars
I tried soo many other MMOs, nothing can capture WoW’s fluidity, or even come close to it.
Other games feel like I’m playing with a 500 ms extra ping on them.
The closest I played was a game called C9, but I don’t think that really qualifies as an MMO, + it’s stamina gated.
