I cannot stand undermine. Like i just hate how goofy it is, if they choose goblins to appease horde players (a lot of storylines have been alliance focused recently) they could of chosen a different race.
I know Wow has had little snippets of goofy stuff but i really hate this patch. Like why the hell do we have cars? Why have we based a full patch on this junk? Is anyone else hating this? A part of me wants to just do ksm and get my curved but i actually dont think i can bring myself to do it. I have been playing anniversary and its kinda reiterated to me how goofy and disney-esque this game has become. I could handle the cheesy dragonflight storylines but this goblin zone is just too much. Praying season 3 can turn things around and i can take the game seriously again
its only good for weekly spark quest
i didnt even do the quests there
I’m not a fan either!
Cars… yeah, it feels pretty silly.
I haven’t been back there since finishing the “Story Quests.”
To me, Undermine feels like just a minor stepping stone to the next content. Hopefully, the next content brings back the true World of Warcraft fantasy.
If you only want to do KSM and curve then you don’t even need to touch Undermine other that to unlock the portal.
Not every piece of content added needs to please every player.
Established way back when the Goblins were introduced as a playable race.
Couldnt drift with that one tho.
I hated it at first but honestly? It’s grown on me.
Yeah almost like the game has evolved over the years.
They had me be a squire, a bell boy and a waiter to 3 alliance leaders in first story, do not talk to me about appeasement until they add a quest where you have to wash Thralls codpiece ingame as alliance.
yes, I love goofy stuff, I do not take myself or the world I play in very seriously and enjoy the goofs
WoW never struck me as a particularly serious game. Sure, there has been some epic tales of heroism, but there has always been plenty of silliness too. I absolutely love the Undermine and the whole 1920s Chicago gangster vibe it’s got.
I dont think the silliness is the issue here, but rather the lack of good writing in the main story wich is supposed to be the “epic tale” side of things. The silliness outshines the epicness because there isn’t much epicness in modern WoW stories.
I dont like it. If that is what Blizzard calls “appeasing Horde players” then its a horrible job.
Another Horde leader becomes the bad guy. Another horde leader becomes a raid boss that we kill. NOT my cup of tea.
If Blizzard was serious about appeasing the Horde players, then they need to generate a “Charge of the Rhorim” moment. With Overlord Geya’rah leading the charge. Absolutely obliterating anything infront of her… sending swathes of enemies flying dismembered by her absolutely massive axe.
Then reach the Alliance front lines and say: This is how its done.
Not a fan myself.
Feels cramped and for all the things that are there, it feels like there is nothing to do that’s actually fun. Not a big fan of the story either really, not enjoying the car mechanic and would rather they just added flying.
For myself I am enjoying the Hallowfall and Azj-Kahet zones so I’m sticking to over there.
Yes i like it. In matter of fact i prefer it like 10 000% more than oh look its another big bad that oh look hes dead now but wait there is new even bigger bad around the corner oh never mind he tripped and broke hes neck.
I am so sick and tired of big bad cycle that wow has so Undermine to me is beyond top tier content.
You mean established in Warcraft 2, when dwarves had tanks.
No I don’t. Since we were specifically talking about Goblin transportation.
WoW has always had a goofy side…
…I’m in the minority then. Undermine is my favourite patch story-wise since the ending of Legion. The side stories are extremely funny and full of pop references. The main story is mid, but then again everything after 7.3 and Argus has been.
I also like that Blizzard seems to be dialing back the “rated E for everyone” of their presentation and they are starting to add back a bit of violence and “wtf” moments. We literally have world quests (and story quests) where we become snipers and must execute enemies through headshots. We are shown people (golbins in this case) living in slums and going through garbage.
This.
Wow has always been steampunk with goofy elements and slapstick humor.
I love it! Honestly, it’s amazing; the visuals, the vibe, the humour… So quintessentially goblin!
