Maybe im mistaken, but i somehow doesnt see my previous topic. I was asking why is Blizzard taking no action against bots and if its because of subscription, why he just simple doesnt allow it?
I also asked, why Blizz makes nearly nothing and players who spend time making screenshots and reporting bots gets no feedback or mail when chars they reported get banned?
Im reporting daily, see bots lvling from low lvls and they still reach 60 despite number of reports, i see bots online 24/7 etc.
Dont tell me you need anything special to sort this stuff. You just dont want. I also wish Blizz works so fast agaist bots as against unvanted topics.
They do act against bots but the problem is they have a skeleton crew in comparison to the amount of bots that are currently in the game. They really needed to hire a lot of GM’s to tackle the botting problem we currently face but they released Classic as a cash cow - a game that needed barely no development that would draw subs back to the game and quite simply didn’t want to spend the cash to hire GM’s especially considering they sacked a large portion of GM’s working for them a few years prior.
Like I said the problem is they do not have enough staff to act fast enough it’s akin to putting a plaster over a dam thats about to bust. On top of this they have to investigate each case separately before they do decide to ban them and when they get banned they will ban every account found guilty of botting in a wave.
The problem is further worsened by the system they have in place that helps sustain bots - Like the WoW token you can buy from them for game time and sell on the AH - this helps lessen any potential loss they face as they can simply bot to get game time and keep doing it until they have more and more accounts online if they do receive bans on some accounts.
Also for every bot that is banned another account is made to take it’s place so it’s a never-ending cycle, these people doing it for a living will only take a small loss and will have made enough money to set up again. For a company to eliminate botting entirely they would need a massive team and it gets to the point where it’s more expensive to prevent it from happening than it is beneficial for them.
Sadly, they will never even be able to put a dent into the amounts of people botting as they just don’t want to spend on the resources.
Bots needs to be lvled up. It takes enough time, as they have reports and they dont need to search them. We are pointing on them.
Also…theres no need to “investigate” in most of cases. Im not speaking about individuals, im speaking about groups.
They online 24/7, GM sees they moving etc wisp them “hello” sees no answer, but they still farming. Ban. Ez as that.
It takes about week to lvl up bot, but it takes few mins to check case and ban. So dont tell me they cant.
