Does it even snow in wow anymore?

I know it never snows irl anymore but it has also struck me 5 months after classic’s launch I have never seen any snowing either in winterspring nor in Dun Morough. It rains all the time but snowing is a very rare occurence, i remember seeing snow frequently in tbc and vanilla but it’s nonexistent in classic.

Am i the only one?

It’s rare, but it does snow, at least in Dun Morough. I was there with my little Gnome mage the other evening, walked out of the Inn to find great snow flakes drifting down, I loved seeing it.

Global warming has hit Azeroth too now.

Not sure if the mage’s conjured me something weird, but whenever it rains irl at the server host, it rains ingame. Also, when it rains ingame, zones like tanaris have dust storms instead, while colder zones like dun morogh and winterspring snow.

But there is no planes in the sky of Azeroth to disturb the climate.

Probably all those cooking fires and forges polluting the atmosphere.

Uh, oh, please Nooooo!

It can snow, but snow in Vanilla/Classic barely looks like snow. Just some darkish particles on the screen. Wouldn’t mind an option for Wrath style snow effects.

What’s strange is prior to the weather system being added back in the day, they released a preview where the snow effect looked amazing. But what made it into the game was not anywhere close to the trailer.

There doesn’t need to be. Global warming is caused by tauren farts.
