It’s not a skill issue. It’s really not. I really care about what my character looks like, and I’ve been able to come up with some pretty good transmog sets for all of my toons. I like a concept and I like finding pieces that bring that concept to life. The concept of a dragonkin sorcerer is a really strong one, but they couldn’t have done a worse job with it.
My god, this race is ugly. Some races are purposefully “ugly”, Orcs, Trolls, Dwarves and Gnomes etc. However, I don’t think they had this goal in mind with Dracthyr. It was completely by accident with how horrendous they turned out.
There’s a lack of freedom, which goes against Blizzard’s promise to give us more options for our characters’ appearances. Dracthyr not being able to transmog armor makes their situation even worse.
Visage form is great, the other is an abomination. Simply giving Evokers the option to always play in visage form is an easy fix, but I’ve gotten the impression that the company is too delusional and proud of their work that they refuse to give us options to hide it.
I started out maining Evoker this expansion and I’ve lost all interest because it’s nearly impossible to make a Dracthyr actually look decent. Some of you might not think looks matter all that much, but they really matter to others, myself included.

except for the fact they look like androgynous lizards and not like dragons. they didn’t need to give them “boobs”, but at least make them look better. if we got drakonids instead of… this, no one would have complained.
Opinion is one thing, you are free to hate how the Dracthyr looks and be vocal about it

Where did I suggest they change anything about how they look? Simply giving people the option to always stay in visage form isn’t taking anything away from you.
You will feel the same way I do after a while, I know it. You will eventually get sick of looking the exact same for as long as you wish to play a Dracthyr, with the same “armor sets” they have from the barber shop.
Yes they would have. The drakthyr model is probably the best compromise between dragon and humanoid they could get. A drakonoid wouldn’t feel dragon enough and a drake wouldn’t be practicable.
It’s as ridiculous as complaining that a shapeshifting class has to shapeshift in combat.
I have no idea how someone could design the dracthyr model and think “yea, that looks awesome”.
Please give us the option to fight in visage form. You can already do it through toys, the animations are already there, just unlock it. Hell, I would pay extra if I never had to use that dragon form again.
In addition to dracthyr I will never play: Goblin, human(female), blood/void elf(male), mechagnome, worgen, goblin, vulpera, tauren(look too goofy with their new model), kul tiran, dwarves or orc. I could consider playing nightborne if they ever fixed that slowmo run they’ve got going on but until then, nope.
I dont think theres an ugly race. All are cute in their own way. And what does it matter how they look really when we are forced to zoom out , we never really see how they look except loggin screen. That goes for transmogs also
