Ugh… I was listening to some Warcraft soundtracks on YouTube and Azuremyst Isle Soundtrack popped so I listen to it, it was beautiful!
Then I thought I should do it! I really don’t remember Azuremyst Isle and Bloodmyst Isle when I leveled my Draenei couple of years ago.
Knowing how good Eversong Woods and Ghostlands were I got pretty excited!
Holy Heck It was terrible! The quests are the most boring and basic, and they are supposed to be hecking Aliens traveling worlds, how can you make that boring >.>
Ooof it’s just too much uninteresting side quests, no meaningful quests in general ooof.
I’m saying this from a perspective of someone who reads every quest, and tries to get that feeling from the world as much as possible.
I’m sorry for making a topic about it I mean it’s been there for like 14 years…But I just wanted to express my feelings to someone >.>
They’re a little pocket in time, still being unchanged from when they got introduced in TBC. And they very much reflect their age in all their simplicity and slow-paced nature.
The music is steller though! And visually the contrast between the crystals (especially the red ones) and the flora is very pretty too. A super tranquil adventure, alebeit rather boring.
Eh, I kinda dislike the trees they are a bit too low rez!
Its a bit better with Black Inky Potion but not as good as my Blood Elves :c
It’s just not meaningful, with my Blood Elf paladin I felt like I had a purpose!
There I’m…A space goat killing Bears and Goblins, and some Moths?
Bloodmyst Isle has decent aesthetic but the questing aged poorly in both zones. TBC zones in general have the most oppressing questing in game, I avoid them like the plague. Terrible exp, high body count requirements, low quest item drop chances. They’re the oldest questing zones in the game and this really shows.
I seem to be collecting Draenei toons so I’ve been through the areas quite a lot. They’re beautiful artistically and the soundtrack is so tranquil. But the quests. Ah…They haven’t aged well at all. It’s a shame that the area hasn’t received any updates like the other start zones. Get out of there as soon as you’re able to. Run. Don’t look back.
You have to remember talador and shadowmoon have a relatively strong draenei force and bases.
The blood orcs wreaked havoc on them, causing the surviours to flee, crash landing on azuremyst Isles which is pretty night elven like, well seeing how close it is to Teldrassil .
Your dealing with the aftermath of the crash and the wreckage scattered, as well as trying to get in touch with other surviours. Oh and the sun hawks plotting.
Actually the zones have a touch of the Shadowmoon Valley ambiance just not much of it. But what I meant is that the settlements are very rudimentary and most of the zone lacks the personalization of the draenei race that we have seen in both Legion and Warlords.
But hey, maybe someday they’ll decide to give the draenei and the belf zones an overhaul so they might be up to date. Which means updating the architecture and making the isle feel more like a settlement and less like a crash site.
Hi! It is just me or it feels like Blood Elf zone is such high quality?!
I don’t know but when I level there I don’t see low rez or anything I really enjoy it!
It’s really pleasing for the eyes as well!
Silvermoon is like 3pm all day and night xD
I really like the questing in tBC zones in general.
It’s not fast, and it doesn’t hold your hand. Instead it opens up and lets you go whereever the heck you like and do things in virtually any order you like. I think that’s fun.
I really feel this. Some of the quests are intriguing but just seem to not be relatively related or the threads just aren’t well formed. Especially when you compare the Quests related lore of the belf areas.
Really hope the area gets updated. Draenei deserve it
