Draenor and Tarren Mill question

Hi. Eng is not my native language so sorry, if i will say something wrong.
I was played in RUS realms before and im tired to play there. Im not a part of typical RUS community (you know, what i mean). I love peace, quiet and healthy atmosphere in game so now i want try to play in EU to save my soul.

In RUS we have 2 huge horde realms:

  • First and biggest one famous as realm with toxic players. And realm score is low.
  • Second one is not so big, but there we have TOP Russian guild - Exorsus and realm score is highest. Im playing in that realm and ppl here is more patient and kind than in first realm.

I cheked EU realmpop and i see, that here exist almost same realms. Draenor as most popular and Tarren Mill as not so popular, but with Method.

Can you please tell me, is there some difference between those two (exept population and economy)?

  • Can you say, that on Draenor ppl toxic and in Tarren they are more patient and have more exp in game?
  • Do you see visual that in Draenor much more players than in Tarren Mill?
  • And last question - how long exist queue and lags in Draenor when some expansion coming up?

The one time I played on Draenor years ago it wasn’t a nice place to be from what I saw there.

Tarren Mill has a lot of great people.

Draenor is fine but stuffed to the gills with Horde players.

During a patch or an expansion you will get queues.

I play on draenor and everyone knows I’m one of the kindest posters on these forums. There are many good guilds on Draenor. Can recommend although economy is not as good as it used to be during WoD.

Name one server where economy is good.

Both realm are good. Personally I prefer Tarren Mill, most of my experiences with Tarren Mill players had been pleasant.
I recently change server, so far seems good enough.

I would say, visually, Draenor has more players.

Ty all for your answers!
No one said about lags and queues. I love M+ keys but sometimes especially in weekends ping was too high in our RUS realms and was delay between skill casts. Hard to play like that.
And whats happening in Draenor in weekends? Do you feel delays and lags?

Most of horde characters are on Dreanor, my horde main and 7 alts, and honestly never really had issues. Made friends there too, so far haven’t really encountered any toxic people.
Not a lot of lags, few times on Voldun and the Vale during the assaults. Then again didn’t start playing when the expansion came out so looking forward to experiencing how things are when Shadowlands roll over.

yea, we have same issure in rus. Vale lagging all the time

I suggest Kazzak, a lot of nice people and no toxicity.

Don’t bother playing on Draenor if you want to log in on expansion launch day.

LOL!

Good one m8. :joy:

Realmpop hasn’t worked for some time now since they changed the way API works.

I tend to use this as an indication but it’s not a complete picture:-

TM is a connected realm and by default will have a lower population (otherwise they wouldn’t have needed a connection). Draenor is very busy and the largest English speaking realm.

Draenor will have queues every new expansion, sometimes new patches and at peak times when new expansions arrive. Draenor and Silvermoon also crashed on launch night for BfA.

I always like to make a new character on a server and run into Org to see what it’s like, is it busy, are there people around, is the AH thriving etc. All trade and general chat will be boost spam.

Both realm have more than enough horde players to do content with. If you aim to do high end content like Mythic raids Draenor have more guilds. Draenor does have the drawback of being borderline unplayable at times, especially on content launch day. You have to settle with queue times if you go there.

I do not know how Tarren Mill fares during these times. My personal experience with players from Tarren Mill have been negative however (not as bad as with Kazzak players, but it comes close) so while I know that it isn’t indicitative of the entire population it is something to keep in mind if you plan to move there.

Btw whats wrong with Kazzak and why all call him Toxic? I checked Wowprogress and i have courage to say that Kazzak has more guilds who closed 12/12 and all first page of that guilds have a higher places in World First ( 20 guilds in lists has 3-300 places compared with Draenor and Tarren 2-500) So i thought theres more ppl with game exp and who want make pve progress.
What exacly ppl from Kazzak do toxicly and why all hate them? They aggressive?without brains and doing wrong things in group or they just mad when all goes not according to the plan and others doing wrong things?

Most people I met from Kazzak tend to over-estimate how much the group is capable of in a leveling dungeon. They constantly pull more and more, even if it is obvious the tank cannot handle it. If the situation ends up in a wipe more often then not a Kazzak player is the one who pipes up with some heavy trashtalking.

So far on my warrior I encountered two players from Kazzak whom what I would call toxic. One was a paladin who kept pulling ahead of the tank, and at the end of the dungeon told the current tank to “[censored] off from the party” because he wants to tank. The other one did not know how the gauntlet works in Azjol Nerub first boss and blamed me for ‘ninja pulling’ the boss.

I also tend to find Kazzak players in the outside world are the ones who feel the need to pull stunts like resetting mobs/mini-bosses by taunting them out of their pull range, usually when said mob is low on HP.

As I said this is only my observation, but because of these I avoid grouping up with Kazzak players if I can.

Ragnaros and Kazzak are toxic cesspits. Draenor is an urban jungle and Tarren Mill is solid with lots of tryhards and competitive players.

Ok, guys. i unterstood.
And personal question :
Draenor vs Tarren Mill
From which realm you always happy to see players in your pug groups M+ ?
Which realms left almost always good impressions? Who by your opinion have more exp (know tactics, dont dying and ninjapulling, healer do dmg and know what to do) ?
I know that all ppl different, but maybe you saw good players in certain realm more often.

I don’t have any strong opinion of either, but TM pugs tend to be a lot more competitive, while Draenor ones are average.
