Years after its release, Legion is remembered fondly as much for the 11-week content update cadence that served as the framework for its first year as it is for artifact weapons or Khadgar’s brilliant dad jokes.*
Well , not only.
Legion is remembered because it had a very solid story, with nice cinematics. Actually with lots of cinematics. Is remembered because of Artefact Weapons, with each of it having a different story. Is remembered because the Class Halls.
But for my point of view, Legion is remembered mostly for the World Quests, M+, Legendaries. This were brand new features. Did you heard that Dragonflight? Brand.New.Features which impacts progression. You have zero, none, null. You will go down faster than Shadowlands.
Also Suramar, the Dungeons ( I loved the dungeons in Legion ) and Raids.
THE POLISH, to everything. The attention to details, to dialogs, to voice-overs. Legion is a masterpiece of an expansion, same as with Wrath of the Lich King.
…but then came BfA, then Shadowlands …and now DF.
Get.Back.to.your.Roots , else you will fail miserably. Its not how often you do the content updates, but what kind of content you release.
PS: Fire Ion Hazzikostas !! Who keeps a guy who literally released 2 of the most pathetic x-pacs ( BfA and Shadowlands ) in WoW history, soon to get the 3rd one under his belt?!
I waited for this expansion for so long. But, sorry…The dragon flying has stopped me even logging in. The thought of having to sit there while my meter reloads is off putting. Having to sit and watch a film or do some housework while the meter goes up is not my idea of playing a game. And when I do get to fly, it lasts seconds, goes too fast and I don’t get to see the world. Trying to zone in on a quest giver while trying to control the dragon and not use too much meter, yet going too fast, I have zoomed past the quest givers so often, then have to wait for the meter to reload to try again. It’s a headache for me. I used my ground mount for a while, but then realised you can’t see the dragon glyphs without riding the dragon…And you need the dragon to get to quests! And if you ever say they will not be bringing in proper flying in this expansion because we have dragons, then I think this expansion is over for me. I only managed 2 zones and gave up
It’s interesting how they got the stamina regen wrong when they copied almost everything over from GW2.
Yes the Gryphon needs to start from a high location and the wyvern is pretty much a “helicoptre” with limit area of movement. But still, when you are standing on safe ground the regeneration happens in seconds.
It’s pretty much one of the reasons it’s so engaging to use them because it’s used as a little mini-game while traversing.
Great to hear lots of content updates. Loving DF so far, in particular the PvP equal ilvl system, world pvp (so good) and solo shuffle.
I’d love to see another epic BG. Something like classic Ashran
Sure, let’s wait until 10.1 for the patch which might fix the crap new profession system. Maybe after that you can finally level-up your prof, maybe you won’t be limited for 10 knowledge per week. Maybe you’ll be able to fix your talents, because you messed-up due to the lack of in-game information and misleading talent tooltips. Maybe. Unfortunately this won’t help players who are stucked now. This will only help players starting then. So thanks for nothing.
Can the dracthyr be allowed to fly with their own wings the same way as a flying mount like the way worgen can run on all fours? It’d be an amazing detail for playing as an actual dragon

Overall this is really positive and I can speak for many when I say that we are extremely happy with the general direction the game has taken as of late.
I think there should be some focus as well on older content too. Even though in some areas things are all now said and done, such as in Shadowlands, Legion and all of that. There should be still encouragement and reason for players to go back too them.
For example like with LFG and Mythic Plus where we still complete dungeons from older expansions. Maybe having the zones themselves be fully scalable in terms of levels and loot too.
On top of this, we saw and enjoyed the return of Mage Tower, alongside Torghast. Why not bring back the personal fan favourite; the Brawlers Guild too.
Dragonflight is a good expansion, a much needed after the previous one.
But I do think that the “World” is missing from “World of Warcraft” where most of the player bases is either focused in the central cities or the new zones. Whereas all of the older zones seem to have been now forgotten about or are so quick and easy to get through they seem a little redundant.
Gameplay First has always been one of Blizzards key points when looking at moving forward with the game and Francise.
Generally, I think levelling and exp gain is way too fast. Having been able to get from 60 to 70 by the time I was doing the early quests on the Azure Span and at that point it feels like theres a forced rush to get past the levelling and questing experience which is one of the fundamental parts of an RPG game element. To get to the end and… do what? First Raid, Mythic Plus?
There is a lot of optional and fun focused stuff which is great. The New profession changes as well, I love those. But I don’t think im alone in thinking that the levelling experience was lacking in a speed sense. Slow it down, or push the required exp needed to level up a bit. I think would be a good shout.
Same here! Yes, I would love to have my Undead Heritage storyline and set but I’m content waiting as the current content is enjoyable My bet is Night Elf and Undead are coming later on with city updates
Yawn.
Without a Devoker rework I am not renewing. When you can’t even make the new big feature class for this expansion interesting I have 0 confidence in your ability to deliver a good game.
