Used to be hardcore Alliance fans, but the discussions died out.

@Zarao got disappointed with how the Horde campaign ended during BFA, he loved Forsaken lore and Sylvanas. He played SL but didn’t seem him since.
@Zakaru a Troll fan, was also disappointed with how BFA handled the Trolls especially the Zandalari. King Rastakhan story for example. Also inconsistencies regarding his interpretations Vs what he was told by Alliance players regarding events in world quests during BFA. How Blizzard was not handling well Rokhan.

This is a topic I created back in 2019, when BFA was still active. @Aster, the BE Paladin level 50, posting it, is my main in another account.

Should continuity matter in expansions ?

Hello Everyone. I was reading replies on my other topic, when I read this interesting subject: It’s very interesting, because from my point of view it seems WoW has been on the following trend: War, peace, war, peace etc. Example: TBC: fighting Illidan. WoTLK: fighting Arthas, together. Cataclysm: fighting Blackwing and faction war. MoP: fighting old gods remains, pandas and faction war. WoD: fighting the iron horde and working together. Legion: fighting the legion and working together. Bf…

From the players taking part in this discussion @Araphant and @Halasibel quit due to this:

After this you could no longer thrust in anything. As everything could be retconned.

I also remember a Pyromancer a YouTuber who loved WoW lore and Sylvanas, quitting it. Here’s the video of him raging;

I decided to check out the US lore forums but it’s all just Twitter drama.

The US is the main story forum, for obvious reasons.
If they find more interesting Twitter, than probably you already found the problems

No one even wants to discuss the new lore even, it’s all just old lore or pointing out inconsistencies.

I spent the entire BFA expansion ranting about BFA and why I hated it, as I considered it a disgrace for the Horde.
I probably spent more time on the story forums than playing. I won’t do that again as my patience ran out.

Next faction War, I will simply stay out.
BFA was just bad. People complain about the expansion that made them quit.
Try one that destroys any moral ground your faction has left. That was BFA for me.

After looking where exactly this new generation of authors are coming from and what exactly is their agenda, I just don’t bother.

For me it’s a systematic problem.
Look at:

• Star Wars.
• Marvel.
• Everything related to Disney
• Warhammer.
• Magic the Gathering.
• Feel free to add more.

WoW is just another franchise amongst many, where fans are not aligned with the writers

Honestly I’m happy I can play DF without having NPCs calling my character a murderer in world quests and raids.
