[Dragonflight] Issues with pet abilities

You need Spell Lock in all raid fights? Thats news to me buddy.

You should never design or balance the game around PvP. To warp the class design due to balance issues in 3v3 arena is complete madness. Thankfully Blizz made PvP talents for this exact purpose, which is where PvP centered choices should go. The regular talent trees and class design should be for the main game.

The share amount of situations where you must interrupt the cast is outweigh any need to dispel magic from yourself(imp). In the most scenario additional interrupt in the group is more welcome than dispel.

With the design of interrupt being locked behind felhunter for warlock, the rest of the classes should be designed around the same experience.

  • Warriors should use range stun only if they have hammers equipped.

  • Killshot must be used only if surv hunter has a ranged weapon equipped.

  • Intimidation(stun) must be avaliable for hunters only if they have Rhino pet

  • Bladestorm must be used only with swords or axes being equipped.

  • Any healing of the druid must be made only in normal form.

  • Any mobility should work for druids only in travel or cat form.

This is the same gameplay design principals that was used to design warlock pets, and as we see, none of the listed above is true for other classes while warlocks are the only one who has such limitations per class.

With current design where interrupt cannot be ignored in any scenario - PvE M+, raids, PvP - forcing warlocks to pick a special demon for that or pvp talent is a sign of severely outdated blizzard mentality and the fact that none of blizzard class designers were willing to play/test warlock outside of training dummy.

Designing the game around PvE is stupid if there is PvP. You need to think about all of it and a spell lock in the talent tree for warlock is good for both(PvE and PvP)

The Felhunter can have devour magic.

What an absolute load of bollocks. Are you nuts?

Of course you… but why so friendly?

Why is it not good?

It’s already been mentioned why it’s good as it is now, above. It’s a unique kick.

That’s not a good explanation, why is it a good kick? Why is it good to be forced into a demon for the kick? What is good about it?

There is no good explanation, if it is enough for you great. But for me it is not. In missing a good reason why it should be tied to a pet, this is not good for the utility of our pets. A mana drain would fit the Felhunter better. It is still good against caster in pvp, but also can give other options to add fights in PvE of the adds have mana.

What are you talking about?

Nobody is asking for a game-altering change . What we are asking for is an option, which would not hurt you in anyway. Not sure what exactly is bothering you if its implemented as a choice. You will have what you want. Whats the issue??

Why do you want every class to be the same? I want my class to be strictly worse than others at certain things.

The purpose of having multiple classes to choose from in the first place is to NOT have the same experience!

There is nothing wrong with wanting the kind of design you are asking for, but it means the eradication of the class system itself. You want a competitive game where everyone is equal, and skill is what matters. Unfortunately, all of that is antithetical to WoW.

You’re off your head, completely. It’s ranged, can be used whilst casting, and can be used whilst hard CC’d.

Who else can do that?

Nobody can do that, still most of the players want it as a choice Talent. Because being stuck with the Felhunter for silence is stupid after 17 years.

It is like we are playing classic and the rest is in DF. What is the problem with the choice option, let the player decide how he wants to play his spell lock.

that is why it should have been a choice node in the talent tree.
choice between caster kick vs pet kick.
everyone would be happy.

Warlocks can do that. You are a moron.

Tell us how meta will make everything OK one more time…

While I agree with this option, without it, having the interrupt on the demon is the favourable available option.

Why asking about meta?

I thought you ask who can do that except if warlocks… who’s the the moron now?

Strange that most of the forum users are against the spell lock on the pet only, most want it to have it as a choice. So i think most of the players are done with the Felhunter and they want some flexibility.

Most of the warlock forum users seem to spend all of their time whining and moaning instead of playing the game. People only ever come here to moan, whinge and whine. It’s pathetic.

I’m sure you’ll tell us all some time soon… again and again…

Yeah, sure said dude with tendency of being happy with all BS that blizz could throw on him instead of doing their jobs.

If you are happy with current design - good for you. But the rest of the warlock community probably have higher standards.

Meta is one thing of many which found habe made us return. But blizzard won’t give us that.

The problem is, if your not whinging you never get changes. Blizzard will only change things if you complain about it. But i think the spell lock thing, is like the meta… blizzard don’t like how it turned out… for that they won’t listen to us and this is sad…

Yeah, all 5 of you on this forum. It’s a shadow of its former self. Even back then it was full of whiney rubbish.

Blizzard are listening too much to people right now and trying things. This was one of those things that they rightly realised was a load of rubbish.

It blows my mind that you think the forum going minority is representative of the game.

All people said it should be a choice, because the talent tree is about choices.
Forcing people into a playstyle is anyways a bad game design. The player should choose how he wants to play the game.
