Dragonflight Rogue Talent Tree - prons and cons

But I am saying that. And I did play the spec during Cataclysm.
Back then, it was. But compared to modern day specs old sub wasn’t that demanding.

As i said before, i would add the funnel damage increase back in.

You have some form of funneling because you can still use shuriken eviscerate, but no damage bonus, so it’s not that great.

So no xD

Even if it didn’t have a 6 second cooldown you wouldn’t want to be pressing it continuously xd

Garrote is a DoT, overriding it all the time does nothing except waste energy.
The only way it is better without a cooldown is when you are multidotting.

According to wowhead the new alpha build changes the talent “Dark Brew” to now also make our bleeds deal shadow damage.

That would mean that Veiltouched and Deeper Daggers increase our Rupture and Garotte damage by 10% and 15% respectively.

It’s definitely more interesting than previously only affecting weapon poisons and Sepsis if you take it.

Still seems pretty meagre though because you need the other talents for it to do anything since bleed damage already ignores armour on it’s own. On the other hand you might already want them if you’re going for stuff like Gloomblade and/or Shadowed Finishers.

Making everything uniformally do some Shadow damage has its advantages. It should also help mastery slightly as it would double dip into that increase on Rupture.

Didn’t our mastery do shadow damage in the past as well? Kinda wish they would just turn it into an effect that increased shadow damage done. That should make Mastery a lot better for the spec. Rather than being so dependable on crit and vers xd

psure mastery’s always been the same. i love the mastery the way it is, just wish it was stronger in pve. but that’s a tuning and pacing thing.

i stacked mastery in legion because eviscerate did big damage. now mastery is meh on st because eviscerate damage isn’t that important.

vers can go away though pls. crit mastery lets go

Yeah, I think new Dark Brew is a nice upgrade.
I just hope they wouldn’t eventually focus Sub on one-truly dmg output that counts (shadow) and maintain other options viable. We said goodbye to bleed dmg output for good I’m affraid (Sanguinary Veins, Hemo etc.), but maybe they leave white crit dmg output viable grant to Find Weakness, crit bonuses etc.

Bleeds being physical does have its advantages in PvP, but its rather niche. In PvE it really doesn’t matter what the source of our damage is though and having it be uniformal just makes sense from a spec-building perspective.

In Rogue vs Rogue other than Dwarf bleeds really counts  But this is optional, so all good.
