Dragonflight Twitch Drops: Earn The Feldrake Mount Now and Support a Streamer

Free Feldrake just for having a muted twitch tab running for a few hours? I find this deal to be acceptable.

Yeah. Not a mount I’ll ever use, but just for clicking on a tab, sure.

Disclaimer: I don’t support twitch streamers. I don’t find the streaming of someone else playing a videogame enticing in any way, shape or form (much like I don’t enjoy watching sports). If I’m interested in a game; I’ll play it myself. I don’t need to see that experience ruined by watching some loud streamer yell over everything acting all over the top about everything they do.

“you can also show your support for your favorite WoW creators by gifting an eligible creator’s channel two Twitch subscriptions”

So, clarify for me here:

If I subscribe to a channel it won’t count as one of those two? It /must/ be two gifted subs?

Can I use Twitch Prime for one of them?

Does it matter if there’s more gifted subs than the channel has viewers or followers?

Will I be able to track progress on that on the same page as tracking Watched Hours?

The Blizzard FAQ seems… limited, at best.

From November 28 at 10:00 a.m. PST until December 12 at 11:59 p.m. PST , you can also show your support for your favorite WoW creators by gifting an eligible creator’s channel two Twitch subscriptions.

“WoW creator”? Someone sitting there spamming M+/Arena while occasionally responding to messages is not a creator.

Do you have the integrity? No.

How about no.
Pixels have no value. Nothing you have on your account has any real life value, and its not even yours, it Blizzards according to the game TOS.
That mount was never worth 3000 euros, it is literally a different shade of bronze drake that works exactly like any other flying mount in game.
OH, YOU MEAN People got scammed for 3000 euro for it, thats their problem.

Lesson here: Never invest anything in something that you have zero control over, that can get taken away from you at any given time, that an Intern at blizzard can copy paste and give to 5 milion people for free lol. Thats pixels for you. They dont really matter.

This is terrible. Replace the TCG rewards.

They still advertise the game… Therefore important to blizzard. :man_shrugging:

It’s absurd what TCG items cost now, in many cases more than real life cars, but giving these items away for practically 0 effort is so wrong.
There should be a middle ground, instead of just going to the complete opposite side of the spectrum and handing them out to everyone and their mothers, for free.

And for the record, I do not own this mount, and I do want it, but not as a free bargain bin handout…
They should have added a store mount as reward for this event and found a better way to reintroduce TCG content to the game. Perhaps make a “Legacy Hearthstone” with all the TCG cards digitized, where you could buy the booster packs etc and have the same chance at the loot cards, as you did back in the day. That way they can also continue the old TCG game instead of flushing it down the toilet, and earn a ton of money on a card game they don’t even have to print, package, and physically distribute.

Also, the toy they are giving away is worth 3x+ times more than the Fel Drake. It’s like the 2nd rarest toy in the game, only surpassed by the Ogre Idol.

Blizzard did not think proactively about this, because you now have players getting borderline scammed as they are thinking the gold capped Fel Drakes dumped on AH are good deals - until they read the news. Disgusting!

Wonder how many of these “content creators” trashed the game for last couple of years are now part of this “promotion”.

Very good… nothing keeps value forever. Great drop. If you are upset maybe take a break from the game.

If players get “scammed” that is there own fault. You can buy many things on the AH that are overpriced but it is down to you making sure you pay a fair one. If you pay whatever you pay it should be worth it to you.

It’s a fault of their own facilitated by a change Blizzard could have easily mitigated, but didn’t, that’s my point. No one argued it wasn’t the player’s fault in the end, but it’s the needless circumstances surrounding this error of the player which are being discussed, that’s the discrepancy.

all of them most likely blizzard is desperate so why not turn to the digital beggers that you previously ran off for some free PR but Activision-Blizzard don’t seem to understand that once you burn the bridges to your community they aren’t suddenly going to rebuild the same bridge nah it will be more likely a dingy makeshift bridge of mistrust because you already proven unreliable

as for twitch they could be offering me a gazillion dollars i’d still never go there or even register

So much this! I have never understood people complaining about things eventually becoming cheaper/easier/free. You got it at the time you wanted it, right? It was obviously worth that to you at that point? What does it matter now? People are so bitter

Well done Blizzard.
I won’t even play or buy DF but I will be gifting a sub and claiming the rewards to support this promotion.
Blizzard needs to do more to establish a foothold on mainstream media.

Yes, I’m confident that this decade old pixelated low poly mount will corral the masses and generate exponential interest spikes, compared to any of the high res/poly unique rewards available in the in-game store.
