is the Wartorn Chain Scrap drop rate lower on the alliance side ?
I do Naxx since its release, and have seen a big difference between the number of scrap collected in an id. The number of wartorn chain scarp is always low compared to the other scarp, often less than 20 are dropped on the 4 wings !
I think, since there is no shaman on the alliance side, that the drop rate is lower, but despite this it still seems strange to me such a big difference.
Chain and leather are way too low. We have queues to get t3 because those damn scraps…skipping very few mobs in there. I’m sitting with a token in bags and will probably have to wait another week to get them.
Yeah chain seems to be the worst for us on horde side too. Rarely comes on AH and it’s near 100g a piece when it does. I think it’s stupid that the token drops outpace the wartorn pieces. I’d rather need more arcanite and hides because at least you can work at farming those.
But while my initial post was meant as a joke, there is some truth to it.
Im carrying all the junk that drop in Naxx, and in a normal raid where we clear every boss, im usually around 60 cloth, 55 plate and leather, 15-20 Chain.
Then we did one trash farm run, just clearing 3/4th of the outer circle, and i had almost the same amount of scraps, and it only took around a hour
Guess we are just unlucky with leather. Cuz most of us leather users bought atleast half of our scraps from AH since we get so few from raids. Chain are very low too ofc.
Personally I find these stories of scarps stupid. I don’t understand why the developers did this, or it was necessary to put a better drop rate. It’s already laborious enough to bring together the other components (arca bar, cured rugged hide, nexus, etc.), and then you find yourself stuck because of this scarps that don’t loot. it’s useless, apart from generating frustration and tension, seriously …
It should still alert Blizz that a piece of chain scarp (individually) is sold between 60 and 100 gold … it’s totally unrealistic
Well if they did make it lower for alliance it would make sense. Like you have 1 mail class (hunter), 2 leather classes, 3 cloth classes, and 2 plate classes. Would make sense if you got more cloth than chain scraps.
I agree with you Warvom, since there is only one mail class on the alliance side, it makes sense that the chains scraps loot less.
But on the horde side, there is only one plate class (war) and yet if we look at Forevatwenty’s post, the number of plate scarps is at the same level as leather and mail. But maybe it is just by chance (it would need more statistics)
So I find that strange …
