Because it’s more like balancing features FROM TBC. Not adding features from futur expansion
That’s why the community is pretty fine about it but angry around boost/dual spec or others features which weren’t here in TBC.

The dual spec doesn’t but the community does. Take a dedicated tank for example. Currently if your not in the uber hardcore scene when your a tank thats not needed you can do suboptimal dps until your needed. Raids will use 2-3 tanks on average. When you introduce dual spec, the community will EXPECT one of the tanks to swap their spec into dps for certain encounters. But thats not the worst even. Raid encounters are designed with the entire raid in mind. that means 2-3 tanks in the group, even if the fight requires only 1 tank or no tank (shade of Aran for example) having your tanks turn into dps on the fly changes the difficulty of that boss significantly.
The same goes for healers going dps, or dps going healing or tanking. Raid encounters in TBC are NOT designed around dual spec. WOTLK encounters are. in WOTLK blizzard expects people to swap specs for certain fights. They are designed around it. Hence is the reason that Dual spec is a detriment in TBC
Yeah? Then what about interruption of taxi flight or autoloot or multimail in the classic? It certainly has no effect on the balance and it was added in future expansions
This has already been discussed above, let’s not repeat it.
Other than dualSpec, neither of those have ANY impact on others experience of the game whatsoever. They don’t impact character identity, raid-balance, or any other meaningful aspect of the game.
And btw.:
So you prefere to ignore any balance issues for your Conveniance? Plz go back to retail!
I already answered that:
But, according to you, if it has no impact and change nothing it should not be added, thats what you said 10 times here
What balance issues?
I’ve said it 10 times already, but damn it, there’s a way to change the spec in the game anyway. Boomkin at any time can teleport to the city, change the spec, get summon back to the raid and for the next boss to be a tank. Dual spec change nothing for balance
Please read more carefully
The cost, the fact that you have to move to your class trainer isn’t worth.
It’s totaly different than being able to switch spec when you want to.
BTW, we can’t be summoned in dungeons/raids in TBC Classic from what i have seen.
You think so. You think this thing have no impact, and dual spec has.
Im disagree, I think dual spec has no more effect on the game than these things
And you seem to be one of the few people that think so.
How ? I can’t even give you 1 example on how auto loot (which was available during Vanilla), multimail or taxi flight may impact the game overall.
While some of us are being able to give you some examples on how dual spec may impact the game.
boha, dual spec is useless, just go to trainer and reset talents lazy peons.
For example, if you chose to fly from orgr to sillithus, and immediately remembered that you forgot to do something in city, you can get off at a crossroads, and return to cityin a minute, instead of spending half an hour flying to sillithus, back to city and then back to sillithus again.
Without it you might decide it’s not worth it to go back to city. Exactly the same situation as with the change of spec.
You could do that in vanilla as well.
Logout (instant when in flight), log back in: Flightpath ends at next flight node.
You are talking about functionality that was already in the game. The “interrupt flight” change just added a dedicated button for it.
The same is true for auto-mail. Vanillas interface didn’t offer the option, so people used mailer-addons which did. Again: Functionality that aready existed in the game.
And lastly autoloot: This isn’t even an example, as it was added in Patch 1.9.0.
And now, before you compare that to dualspec again:
DualSpec Functionality did not exist in Vanilla TBC. There was no addon or logging-trick that could provide it. It also has a direct impact on game experience, community, character identity and ingame economy.
And many more people agree that it does.
Or not.
I didn’t see the poll with the stats, neither did you.
But I didn’t start this thread, and neither have many others like it.
So a lot of people would be happy to dual spec
And the same is true for change spec, you have this functionality in the game, It’s just about adding a button for that, instead of going to the trainer
If you are forced to make a relog, it’s not “functionality that was already in the game”. It’s just an exploit that’s not supposed to be used
Careful buddy! This is an argument-from-popularity-fallacy.
I love to quote Neil DeGrasse Tyson for these matters.
“The good thing about science is that it’s true whether or not you believe in it.”
Or in other words… it doesn’t matter if you disagree. The facts are the facts. And the fact is, that Dualspec affects way more stuff than me emptying my mail box with one push of a button or three.
We have the functionality to change spec WITHOUT A TRAINER and WITHOUT PAYING 50g?
Interesting. Where exactly is it, pray tell?
Abusing exploits is bannable.
No one was banned for doing this
