Retail sucks alot. It has alot of crap going on.
TBC was fun, BUT it is too outdated and it needs some QOL changes. How fun is it to wait 1hour for a group, tank leaves after first boss didnât drop where he (secretly) came for.
I do not have time for this crap. If it was just me, sure, my problem.
But it is not. Most of the community would want a dungeon finder.
If Blizzard is smart, they give us what we want to max profits, no?
You people with your nochanges bs are the minority and Classic was also not the same as Vanilla. It never was and never will be.
It only took 63 posts for you to figure it out! I hope you find a game you have time for.
You are funny i give tou that.
We are here and we are here to stay. With me are many and our numbers grow. Blizzard will bow and comply because numbers have the money.
See, when you start saying things like this you lose all creditability.
You do not have time?
Then why are you playing Classic?
I have time. Just not time to waste on waiting for slackers to join a group.
I do not have time to travel for 30 min after waiting 1 hour+
I do not have to to replace that tank which all of the sudden leaves. Which means another 30 min wait or the group falls apart.
See? i just wasted 2-3 hours on what? Doing nothing?
This is why dungeon finder is needed. So that time is used effectivly on fun and not on not fun which in this case is waiting for nothing.
I will promise Blizzard this, if they implement dungeon finder alot of more people would play. I have some friend who for this reason alone are not interest in the old WOW but they also do not like the kiddie wow retail
A dungeon finder isnt needed at all.
Join a guild and arrange runs with them?
It is not the same, guild numbers are few compared to cross realm match making.
Besides guild members take friends first and im a quiet guy in game because im always stoned when i play and i no mood to type too much
Then wait until WOTLK when the dungeon finder was implemented.
Adapt to the game.
Either suck it up and talk to people or get nowhere
Your numbers are nothing and classic community doesnât want you. Go back to retail.
Also, you facebook gamers have no money for a MMO game publisher. You spend 50 euros then leave when you get a new gf irl. We, MMO players, are the ones that spend money in games(reggularly and consistently) and make companies rich.
You(talking about the instant p2w boys) werenât there when WoW became a legend. Or EQ. or UO. or GW. or FF. or any good MMORPG that made their producers rich. They all became rich because of the persistent, permanent, geeky MMO players. You didnât make a single MMO game better, ever. You only destroyed the ones that were legends and turned them into empty pieces of garbage until everyone quit.
It is the part of the game, it is a requirement to have a dungeon group.
What you little babies canât understand is, not everything has to be FUN in a game. Sometimes you do something that is NOT FUN to reach a goal that will eventually give you FUN. In other words, you invest time and effort to HAVE FUN in the end.
Certain things in online games HAVE TO BE tedious and time consuming. Which creates scarcity for these things. SCARCITY creates VALUE. A diamond is precious only because not everyone can have it whenever they want. It is scarce.
A grand marshal sword or a gladiatorâs gear set is valuable because it requires you to go through hours and hours of waiting, getting a group, working for months. And in the end, when you reach your goal, then it is MEGA FUN. See? If you had it right when you wanted it, it wouldnât be that fun. Youâd probably forget it after 2 days. But when it is scarce and hard, you never forget it after 20 years and still remember that day. This is what MMOs are about.
You canât have fun every single minute in a game. Otherwise it becomes meaningless and banal.
When you donât find a group/raid instantly when you need it you make friends in game. You communicate to people. When you find a good tank, you ask him âcan I add you to friend list?â Maybe you invite him to your guild. You develop social skills. And when you get a good group/raid, it is VALUABLE. It is memorable.
You saye more crazy things but this is the most crazy thing i heard in a while.
Ofcourse a game needs to be fun, real life is already full of not fun things. When i go relax, smoke a joint behind my pc and start WOW up, i need to have a good time and not waste it on bad players who leave dungeons mid run ect.
You canât have fun every single minute of a game, if youâre looking for that youâre a hysterical addict. If you think that Iâm crazy for saying this, you are the crazy one.
If you have âfunâ by being presented everything for no effort, then you will never have actual fun in a video game, which comes at moments of accomplishment and it gives satisfaction to earn that accomplishment. You can never replace that moment of burst and laughter and screaming whenever you log in wednesday morning and see your character with r14 title, or when you kill a mythic boss server-first with your boys and everyone is screaming on discord. These are the real, memorable, actual fun moments, that an MMO can offer best.
This is why on retail when you got an item better than a mythic raid item doing a turtle daily quest in BfA via titanforging, it was cheerful for a few minutes but it never gave you satisfaction. Because you know deep inside that you did nothing to deserve it and itâs meaningless to have that item.
That is your view then but not mine
What you mention is exactly how real life works. i play games to escape reality and relax. Not to repeat reality in a game, that is NOT fun, seems more like an addiction to get punished
Retail that way â>
MMO games work in a similar way to real life for sure. Especially MMORPG games. The whole narrative of these games is âyou start a new lifeâ, you make a new character, you develop its skills, you grow in power, you invest in it, you accomplish things and you climb your way up the ranks slowly. Like real life.
If you just want to log into a game and instantly start pumping then MMORPG games arenât for you. You are not an MMORPG player. You can try other game genres like FPS games or MOBAs where you donât have to develop your character and can jump into the action right away.
How about a Dungeon finder like the one we have for premade groups in retail currently? And restricted to the same server.
It lists groups forming/ people looking for group, but you have to manually apply and invite people.
Says the guy who created 10 accounts to multibox and cheat his way through a game.
Find a guild and stop spamming tradechat like a nub.
Auto-invite means that the party leader automatically invites everyone who queue for his group, not that people automatically accept an invite after queuing, that last thing those not even exits in retail because it does not have any purpose, people who are invited to a group are asked with a big popup message if they want to join the group or not.
It has been hinted in Blizzconline that probably we will have that in TBC Classic, because is not so much different that than the looking for group tool we had in TBC, both have the same functionallity but the retail one has a better UI, so even if Blizzard didnât include retail Looking for Group any addon creator could make an addon to turn TBC Looking for Group into Retail Looking for Group.
The problem with Looking for Group in terms of Classic is that most people associate that name with retail LFD and LFR with cross-realm and instant teleport to dungeons that they donât even care to read what part of Looking for Group others are talking about and they just say no thinking about LFD and LFR because one of the things about Classic is that some of the player bases think it is okay to shut down any conversation about that and impose their opinion without allowing other people to have different opinions, and that is disrespectful. I do not want to have retail LFD and LFR and many other retail features but that does not mean I found it okay to no respect opinions from people that differ from mine.
I am sure when TBCC beta starts even if at the beginning there is only the old TBC Looking for Group because Blizzard has not yet included any changes people would complain saying that Blizzard has added retail Looking for Group into TBC, without trying to look if what is included is what existed back in TBC or not.
